Thank you, I have no access that I know of, maybe there is a service I can find, or just run over to the local university and poke around

<edit - I think I might know someone, thanks again for the link...and JoeMuc2009 for your input as well. >...

  • great perspective in your posts, thanks for sharing...

I was going to school and working in the audio/video department of a record shop, selling equipment when the first CD player was received (A Sony that sold for $1,000). We too were hypnotized by CD's because of the hype, and...

While we are at it with Live recordings - Michael Hedges - Live on the Double Planet was forgotten on my list.

Especially since you are using a super cheap switching power supply that is throwing EMI all over the place! If I wanted to do anything (I don't) with regard to less "disturbance" it would be to use a linear supply.

BTW, we are getting off topic for the OP, Gary, Slarti, CJS,...

  • I did an experiment with interesting results. My Microwave is about 12m from my router. There are two solid walls in between. I used an app (android) called myphonexplorer which connects a phone wirelessly to a PC as a file explorer and more. There is a feature called screen mirroring and control (but...

  • It's fun thinking about this stuff. 1 ohm is excellent earth to outlet.

The most important thing is you and your sb are in a happy place

  • Hi Gary, does the version compare not persist a factory reset? That makes sense, but I never gave it a thought. Also, isn't it moot with the newer version of LMS, maybe after 8.2? I seem to recall that. I ask because I really don't pay much attention to LMS messages when my players just work.

    started a topic Radio Knobs?

    Radio Knobs?

    So, I bought another radio - red, that I didn't need. But, for $10USD I couldn't resist

It came, it works, but it's missing the two knobs, and a power supply. I can handle the PS, but what is the latest on knobs? I don't have a 3D printer, and really don't mind if the knobs I find aren't...

I love this thread for "oh, I have that, I have to listen to it again" Slarti's Genesis listening as well.

When I think of my favorite live albums - Allman Brothers Fillmore East, Van Morrison It's Too Late, CSNY 4 way Street, and Loggins and Messina On Stage...I always forget...

Personally, I don't think it's necessary to separate. But, I would consider using 2 due to location. I prefer to have my LMS pi connected to the router via ethernet. If the location of your player has ethernet capability, I would use the pi4 for both LMS and player. If the location you want your player...

You posted in the community firmware thread. If you would like to us it, it should solve your issue. Follow the instructions (post #2).

Otherwise, take a look at this thread,...

Happy you got it solved. In the future, when the next problem arises, please suspect/know that it's TinyLMS

  • I just thought of something, and thought I would mention it first. If you do not have a good line power ground, your microwave's EMI/RFI shielding will be compromised. This could be in your receptacle, or even into your home's wiring. Long shot, but it could be why both microwave's behave similarly,...

No worries, that's what I was referring to. Both Remain In Light and Fear of Music are what I consider "early", with Little Creatures and Naked being later, with a bit of a style shift. I have spun them a considerable amount of times, then I forget about them, hear a song, and feel the need...

  • doobre - thanks for coming back with an update. You still have a problem with the boom on wifi, still within 4m or closer? I also wonder if you have tried slartibartfast's suggestion of changing wifi channel with the new microwave?

Radiation from the uwave is in the 2.4GHz band, so the...

I was listening to an internet radio station yesterday and "House In Motion" from the same album came on. I tend to forget how brilliant, busy, energetic those early albums are.

Your writing is fine, just needed a bit of clarification on your setup.

Your suspicions on artwork might be valid, but I do not understand how and where the various data is transferred and processed. So while your specific question on artwork might be a valid one, I just don't know....

  • I wrote out a long response and realized I was going down a rabbit hole with many branch tunnels. So I decided to take a step back.

It seems like your problem is either data or processor bandwidth. Can you provide a little more detail on what processor/software is acting as your video server?...

I am confused but curious about this. zoleprole - to clarify, you have a laptop running LMS and squeezelite. You also have a PC with a library (assume internal HDD). You have a touch with a USB HDD plugged into the touch. Is this correct so far?

So, when you had your problem, squeezelite...
