Right, I should have been more clear. Yes, you can get to the last post from recent and unread with the >>. I was referring to when you are in a thread, or have searched to find a thread that might not have been posted recently.
Maybe I am going about it all wrong, but let's say I...

I thought it was useful as well. I guess now we just click on the user's profile.
What I am really missing is the "last" post click at the top. Now I have to scroll down to the bottom and click on the last page listed, as there is no way to get to it from the top.

Paul, If interested as Paul W suggested to me, ssh into your pcp and enter "date" (without "). What I did was type in date, wait for my pc clock change to the next minute (at :00) and immediately hit <return> on the terminal.

I switched over to tucker radio and it's doing the same thing. I also recall seeing it with acid hill and possibly suzy radio. I have to run out for the day, so I'll do as you suggest tomorrow. I'll try to get a concise idea of what may be happening (as long as it's not my imagination).

Paul, I hate to be the L365 thorn in your side, but I thought I would share an observation. It seems like if the metadata gets "stuck" it can get "unstuck" via material apk (or maybe another UI). Possibly the UI's query LMS, and that causes an update?
Here's what happens:...

Thanks Paul, One option that would be fine for me (if it's easier to implement) would be the ability to overwrite the previous backup. Currently the backup filenames are date stamped. Perhaps there could be an option to write a generic backup file and be able to overwrite it.
From a use...

I am not trying to beat this to death with this post, just summarizing what I feel NTP will/should help. Please correct me if I misspeak:
- Radio Now Playing Song Info timing
- After Power failure, a power restore with pcp booting faster than internet is available:
-- Time is lost,...

Depends on what you are comparing it to eh Gary?. Mine was off 63 seconds after 63 days. I didn't notice. The thing is, I restart LMS all of the time, pcp - almost never unless I mess something up (which happens, ask anyone here
)
Default/Option is no big deal for me, Paul Webster...

exactly why I said "unless of course it's to the detriment of something else...". I'm not beating a drum, just sorry I missed the fact that it was available, and happy to have found it.

Ah Ha! Give Michael the prize!
my SD has 3 partitions, with my LMS data being on the third. I have two mounts - LMS data and my usb hard drive. I must have made my full sd backup in 7 to the SD. I then copied to my PC to be able to burn another one. So The backup image (used to rebuild)...

This post is for completeness. I restored 7 with a backup, and the update to 8 went fine. I put the SD that had failed back in, and here are the logs:
The cache.db file was 0 bytes, so I must have mangled it somehow. I deleted it, and restarted pcp, but it didn't help....

For others that might stumble on this thread - I think only 3 posts are needed, but I seem to recall that it helps if/you need to log out and back into the forum after 3. I have also pm'ed newish members as a test, and they were able to reply to the pm, and them they could pm after that.

Here we are one year later....
Full disclaimer, I am certainly not complaining about anything from anyone volunteering their time and brain power for the greater good...
I must have missed this, and I am wondering how. Paul Webster told me about this add when I was having...

Ok, I didn't know where to look for the log file in the LMS data, so I just burned a SD of the backup that I made of 7 before the failed update. I tested the new image, did as ronnie said, then did the update again and all is fine. The only thing different is in the first (failed) update there were...

Since I cannot connect to LMS, I'll have to figure out where the log file is. I'll look....

Hi Ronnie;
I had tried that and it didn't help. Just tried it again and all extension versions matched, and no go again. I am in the process of burning my pcp7 backup to SD and I might give the update a go again...or listen to music for a while first

I got around to doing an insitu update from pcp7 to 8, and I ran into a bit of a problem. LMS will not start. When I start it from the LMS tab it states "LMS is running" but it's not, a refresh shows "not running". When I try to access LMS via anything, like the "Configure LMS"...

Thanks for the info on NTP. If you decide to put it (elapsed time) back in I'll read the release notes, update, and test it.

Maybe. But I remember going through this when a power cut would trash my "time" and cause RP FLAC not to play and my clock screensavers to go black. A periodic NTP query would have been ideal. I'll have to go back through my history and see if something was ever offered.
