Cool, now you got the files, I've disabled access to my ftpserver, just let me know if for some reason you need to download them again, I'll enable access again for you.
Fingers crossed on the file replacement.

OK sorry, I'm back on it.
Whilst I've got your attention paul-
On a slightly different subject, when I was looking at cleaning up a copy of my live build, one of the things I hit that I hadn't thought about...
My card is a 16Gb and partition 2 had been resized...

Ok so just tried this on a fresh pCP image.
LMS wil not start, ssh in and start from the command line gives me this:
Code:sudo /usr/local/etc/init.d/slimserver start ln: perl: File exists /usr/local/etc/init.d/slimserver: line 111: /usr/local/slimserver/slimserver.pl:

OK thanks paul-, found them
How does he install from those files?
Slimserver-CPAN and a whole bunch of perl files also have the same date and time stamp as slimserver.tzc - would he not need those as well? *****Edit: Sorry ignore - they have a totally different date/time, screen...Last edited by KeBul; 2023-01-31, 15:31.

OK I'll go ahead and sort out a cleaned up image of my pCP V8.2 with LMS 8.2.1 on it.
What computer type and operating system do you use? So I can sort out instructions for downloading the image I prepare.

I'm sure paul- will get this sorted,
But as a backup, I have two late versions of 8.2.1 running, one on pCP V8.2 64 bit and the other on pCP V7 32 bit, I can clean up either setup to back to defaults and take an image of it and put it on my FTP server for the OP to download.

I doubt these sort of attempted fixes would be the way forward, Tweaking her router settings, may well fix it - but exactly what will probably require knowledge of what equipment she has.
Turning off wifi 6 in the 2.4Ghz band would be a good start.
On the whole it's...Last edited by KeBul; 2023-01-29, 22:11.

Yep, sure, this and the possibility of hooking one up to the SB Radio battery itself was why I got the TPLink, just not got round to investigating that possibility further.
On top of that my portabilty needs (listening in the garden) are resolved using a SqueezeAMP paired to an Anker Soundcore...

These two statements, to me, means unless you have a very obliging neighbour who will let you turn off or tweak their 2.4ax signal you only have one path forward with the SB Radio - stop using its wifi.
And this leads to two possible solutions for you...- Hardwire the Radio back to your

No problem Patricia, yeah this is a great community, lots of clever and helpful people here.
It took me a while to work out my SB Radio wifi issues were due to the access point deciding to change channels on the fly when it detected too much "other wifi noise" on the channel I...Last edited by KeBul; 2023-01-28, 16:20.

The Superhub I look after is at my sisters, I've set her up a Squeeze system as well, but most of it is hard-wired with wifi just serving an SB Radio and SqueezeAMP out in her Kitchen area and that uses a Draytek AP902 wifi access point, The AP902 and Squeeze system remained up and running for streaming...Last edited by KeBul; 2023-01-28, 15:56.

Ahhh... Virgin Media - so UK, no idea why I thought you were US.
By "binding the Radio to my wifi isn't likely" - do you mean binding the device to the same IP address... if so this can be done in the Superhub Advanced Settings/DHCP scroll right down to the bottom of the page...

Hi again,
Because of the different time zones, I'll try and speed communication up a bit... I think you are downloading the original zip file which then gets automatically unpacked and then you are zipping back up again and that's causing the incompatibility with the SB Radio's built in...

Hi Patricia,
Sorry it didn't work for you, some questions...- Where did you get wlanpoke-mainman.zip from?
- Are you using Safari web browser to download the zip file from PomDev2 github site?
- If so does Safari automatically unzip the downloaded zip file and place the files in a folder

I've always suspected this... no... not suspected - hoped it would be the case, visions of Michael surrounded by keyboards like Rick Wakeman, dark goggles protecting his eyes from the multiple bright monitors, the click of keys and lines of code everywhere...

Espressif state the default console settings are 115200-8-1-N
I think they will drop into recovery mode, after a while, if they cannot connect to wifi. I've looked but can't find anything that says connecting a serial console will force it into recovery mode and I know from my own use you...

Patricia,
Check out the thread linked below... in post number 14 I've outlined step by step instructions to load and setup wlanpoke into a Squeezebox Radio directly from MacOS with no other tools required.
You can copy and paste each command required from the thread.
