Hi there,
the SBR is known for blowing components corresponding to the battery and DC-IN power management. It's Q3 typically if I remember correctly. Something in the design causes the circuitry to fail, often catastrophically.

Well here's a video of somebody opening theirs. Actually he is not doing it quite right until 05:15. The key to removing the shiny front panel, after removing the two Torx screws that hold it, is moving it entirely to the left with some gentle force, and then it can be pulled out. Don't spudger around...

Really a Radio or is it a Boom? in the Radio the power jack is a separate piece that connects to the main PCB via a short wire pair. These connectors can be purchased separately, you just need to reattach the wires and take care of the polarity....
