I'm getting somewhere using subprocess in Python and the status.sh script:

Now that I'm using the correct port, it is possible to read the power status from within Python? I presume I'd need something that can parse json-rpc although all I need to read is the status of "power": for that particular player?...

No idea why I was using 9001, but it is working now that I've changed it to 9000.

Yes, that is the correct address and port - when I had the wrong port it produced a different error.

Don't think I have anything special running on there - Plex, webserver.

Enabled logging of JSON-RPC, but it is showing nothing....

Looks like there might be an issue with my server as installing https://pypi.org/project/squeezebox-controller/ on another computer and trying to control LMS from within Python is also failing.

Realised the CLI port on my installation was 9090 instead of 9000. Now I've changed that, I'm getting:

How do I enable debug?...
