yes, on a windows PC. Just tried Material on my iPhone, and all works just fine. So something related to running on my Windows 10 computer accessing Material via Firefox or Chrome....

Just tried on my end, and SWYH working normally with my windows laptop and LMS running on rPi. So it is not a widespread SWYH failure. I'm in the Southeastern US.

I agree that one can run the player and LMS on the same rPi, ASSUMING that one can locate the rPi near the DAC *and* with an ethernet connection (which I think is better for the LMS portion). But otherwise, nothing at all wrong with using one for LMS and one for player.

Also, it is a factual thing that the USB implementation on the rPi3 and earlier *can* be problematic as it shares a path with power (or ethernet, can't recall). This issue was resolved with the rPi4B, making the USB connection independent. Many would argue that if using a USB DAC connected to an rPi,...

I would *think* the version compare doesn't survive a faculty reset (and recall, vaguely, that in installing community firmware it is suggested that one do a factory reset first). But it could also be true that new versions of LMS, 8.x.x resolve the problem automatically. But...

Agree with Jim. I had to do the version fix years ago, but wiped all that out with a factory reset when I installed the new community firmware. Version fix not needed when running community firmware....

Exactly, I have a handful of 24/192 files, and LMS automatically downconverts such files to 24/96 (in a good way) without any intervention from me and they play nicely on my Transporter. But you can use squeezelite on an rPi instead of the transporter to feed the DAC, and this can easily play 24/192,...

Same for me. One album only. And looking at all the tags in both mp3tag and foobar2000, I see no tag field differences that could trigger LMS treating it differently. It's a mystery!!!...
