Same problem here.

Full text search for "Black" took 42 seconds. (practically instant with material). Freezes changing to next track.

Storage m2 sata SSD. 70K music files.

Pi4B 4GB.

No, but you can install LMS and squeezelite which is more or less what piCorePlayer is. The LMS interface is just the same....

I don't see a Now Playing menu item on my Touch.

But you don't really need one, if using the Touch screen there's the notes icon top right, or if using the IR remote there's the same Now Playing notes icon on a button....

Yours wouldn't be the first HiFiBerry board reported on these forums to be faulty.

At this point others would ask you to load HiFiBerry OS on your Pi, to see if it works with that.

No other connections other than the 40 pin header should be needed.

I have a few different Hifiberry DAC/Digi boards (no DAC2HD), all of them have a green LED near the centre of the board. I think this should be lit at all times, try re-attaching the board?

Prise the RH side of the bottom part of the remote out to the right in the direction of the arrows. The arrows show the positions of 4 lugs, once they are clear the top part of the remote just lifts off.

A good while since I opened a Touch remote (the one in the picture) and I've since sold that Touch and remote, I do have another Touch but no remote for it. (I have 2 SB3 remotes).

I remember starting at the top near the IR LED and working down the RH side (viewed from the front), it wasn't...
