    I tried to reinstall it few times, but it doesnt help.

    btw. when I go to "my apps" folder in touch it says that Touch is registered to another user [1st owner]. May that be a reson?

      I have not been able to duplicate the effect. It was minor but persistent the other day. But you seem to be a perfectionist so I thought it might tweak a thought. It might have been from the various rebootings etc. from me changing output options, I forget...no worry.

      Thanks for your work, very neatly done etc., I like to see that in software.

          Yes. You need to first get the touch registered to you.

          • OK - I have the app installed and the kernel updated. I am using SPDIF to my PS Audio Digital Link III which accepts 24/176.4 and 24/192; the USB is limited to 16/44.1. Everything up to and below 24/88.2 and 24/96 plays fine. When I try to play 24/176.4 or 24/192 files they play but very slow, like an LP playing at half speed. Quite strange.

            I see these errors in the server log:
            [12-04-12 22:35:28.7520] Slim::Player::Song:pen (409) Error: Couldn't create command line for flc playback for [file:///E:/Music/Various%20Artists/2l.no/UHD7041888512721_01_01.flac]
            [12-04-13 23:32:54.4082] Slim::Player::Song:pen (409) Error: Couldn't create command line for flc playback for [file:///E:/Music/Alison%20Krauss%20+%20Union%20Station/2002%20-%20Live%20(24bit%20176.4kHz%20SACD)/Disc%201/03%20The%20Lucky%20One.flac]

            Any thoughts or ideas?

              This is almost certainly caused by streaming PCM rather than flac. In order for 192 to work (either S/PDIF or USB) you must stream flac, no matter what the file format on the disk is. You can change this in the file type settings under advanced settings in the server.

                That was one of the first things I checked trying to troubleshoot this:

                Under file types:

                FLAC AIFF Disabled
                FLAC Disabled
                MP3 Disabled (greyed)
                PCM flac

                Every other setting under File Types is set to Disabled; all my music is flac. Any other ideas?

                  Change it to:
                  FLAC AIFF flac
                  FLAC Native
                  MP3 Disabled (greyed)
                  PCM flac

                  And get listenin'

                    You need Flac -> Flac set to "native"

                      With your app installed, there is nothing on the I2S lines unless analog+digital outputs are active. Then the I2S signals appear to be limited to 96K. I have several 192K files that play normally, but at 96K. 44.1K, 48K and 88.2K files all play fine, at the correct rate (I don't have any 176K files).

                      I know there aren't many of us using the I2S lines, but we would be very grateful if high-speed signals could appear there. Still this is a very impressive app for those using USB and SPDIF.

                      Thanks, Jack

                        You need to try the separate Kernel updater and Usb Audio Output apps described in the other thread - I believe kernel #5 had an attempt at 192k for the analog output.

                          That did it - thanks!

                          I thought I saw the exact opposite in another post... Oh, well. Sounds fantastic.

                            Do I need to remove the enhanced digital output app first?

                              Yes

                              Do you want to PM me an email address. I need to warn you that I am not certain this will work as it didn't appear to work to me.

                              • Could it be done "officially"

                                Hi, seeing as these features are strong selling points for the Touch, could Logitech not provide this functionality with the official firmware?

                                (Haven't followed the discussion here closely, so I'll gladly accept pointers to technical/political/ethical/economical/etc reasons this can or can't be done).
