    Laptop and Touch

I have LSM server in my laptop, and SB Touch with USB hard drive.
I open web control with SqueezeLite player on my laptop and I can play music from library on my another PC, but I can't play music from library on hard disk from SB Touch. I selected library Squeezebox Touch USB, and player Sqeezebox Touch, and song started on web control and on the screen SB Touch, but no sound.
    Can you help me?

It appears you your problem, so that is good. However, when you said "SB Touch with USB hard drive", I assumed you plugged the USB drive into the Touch. That will cause you nothing but problems because the power supply is insufficient to power a USB hard drive. If the USB hard drive is connected to your laptop that is running LMS, then you should not have a problem.
In addition, be sure you are not running the Tiny LMS that is on the Touch as it problematic and it has not been updated in years.

I am confused but curious about this. zoleprole - to clarify, you have a laptop running LMS and squeezelite. You also have a PC with a library (assume internal HDD). You have a touch with a USB HDD plugged into the touch. Is this correct so far?

So, when you had your problem, squeezelite on your laptop would play media from the PC, but not the HDD attached to the touch?

If all is correct, I imagine (as P Nelson suggests) you are running the out of the box version of LMS (Tiny LMS) on the touch. Paul is right in that you might want to avoid this. Tiny LMS never really ran well on the Touch because of the minimal RAM available, I would run, but ask to much and it crashes alot. Plus, it has not been maintained for years, so it's about 12 years behind the LMS on your laptop. In thinking about it, it would be most stressed if squeezelite was playing from the touch library, and the touch playing as well.

Power would depend on the current draw of your HDD, or if it has it's own power.

I wonder if you really needed to reinstall LMS, but happy it worked for you. I would have suggested rebooting, or factory resetting the touch (as laptop LMS was working with PC media)

As Paul mentioned it might be best to connect your HDD to the network another way (not through the touch), and just use the touch as the player.

          Sorry for my bad English,
Yes, I have SB Touch and Usb Hdd plugged into the touch, and I have laptop with Squzzelite X player, and I play music with with Squeezelite X player on laptop from SB Touch with USB HDD.
          I had another problem.
When I use Squeezlite X or different player on laptop with Material skin, Tiny LMS on the Touch is crashes after 2 min, but when I use Squeezelite X with default skin, no crashes LMS on the Touch and the touch playing as well.
Maybe is problem with pictures of Cover, in Material skin cover is big pictures, maybe no, i don't no.
          I factory resetting the touch.
          Every Cover.jpg is max 500x500.

Your writing is fine, just needed a bit of clarification on your setup.

Your suspicions on artwork might be valid, but I do not understand how and where the various data is transferred and processed. So while your specific question on artwork might be a valid one, I just don't know.

But I cannot emphasize enough that involving the touch as anything more than a player is asking for trouble. I know from experience. I originally setup a touch with tinyLMS and a thumb drive for a friend, thinking it would be a nice simple solution. It crashed all of the time. Example - playing from the thumb drive while moving through the menus to select the next album - crash.

Sincerely - just don't do it

Is there any way that you can connect that HDD to something else? How about your PC? It it has to be located right at your touch, perhaps you can add a simple network interface to connect the HDD to your network.

I ran the Tiny LMS and used a hard drive with its own power supply plugged into the Touch. It worked, but it would often crash randomly. I agree with Jim and Kidstypike, it is not worth the frustration; just don't do it. Run LMS on another computer. I went with piCoreplayer and I am much happier. I listen to my music collection much more because the server is now reliable.

                  I fix it problem.
Problem why TinyLMS crashes is in Mp3Tag, to big resolution of pictures in Art work.
When I remove all art work, Touch work perfection.
                  Long live Squeezebox Touch.

Happy you got it solved. In the future, when the next problem arises, please suspect/know that it's TinyLMS
