    Radio Knobs?

    So, I bought another radio - red, that I didn't need. But, for $10USD I couldn't resist

It came, it works, but it's missing the two knobs, and a power supply. I can handle the PS, but what is the latest on knobs? I don't have a 3D printer, and really don't mind if the knobs I find aren't the exact OEM look, just function is ok.

I don't have to have knobs, as I can just use it in a location where I wouldn't normally interact with it directly (use phone/pad instead), but I enjoy a good rescue/repair...

Okay, bit of a challenge. The knob is identical to the one from the Squeezebox Boom so there might be sources for that, however, the smaller one will be hard to find. There's an eBay seller here in Germany, a fine guy, who sells 3D printed replacements for the notorious Squeezebox parts. Here's a link to his offerings: https://www.ebay.de/usr/donscore
If you can accept that the finish and feel is different from the original, these present a functional replacement that is at least close to the original looks. See the pictures attached, I received a gracious donation of some demo items from said seller. He is also providing templates to stick upon the sticky Boom surface to get a nice finish again. Can also be used in case the un-sticking went south and the button imprints got lost along the way 😉
Don't be mislead by optical illusions, the knobs shown in my photos have exactly the same dimensions, just a different top finish. I cannot say anything about the Radio volume knob but would expect it is the same excellent quality.
Postage might be an issue though.
I didn't see anything over at Thingiverse that would help you get your own 3D prints (there are shops who do it for you). In the worst case, you might be able to use some standard knobs as these D-shaped axles are pretty standard and there should be plenty of choices with the right diameters that could be used just as well. It won't look the same but what can we do...

Easiest way would be asking a neighbour or colleague with a 3d printer to print these:

Thank you, I have no access that I know of, maybe there is a service I can find, or just run over to the local university and poke around

<edit - I think I might know someone, thanks again for the link...and JoeMuc2009 for your input as well. >

fwiw my local library has a 3d printer, and they charge a very nominal fee for prints. maybe your library or a nearby one has this too.

Thank you, I will check it out. I still take out DVD's from mine on occasion, so I'll ask when I am there.

also, a service like https://craftcloud3d.com/ can print and ship two knobs to you for about $12 (depending on material/color/sanding etc). You can go to that site and upload the 3d models and pick material etc.

TomS graciously took care of me, but in cruising around ebay, I found this post for anyone who might be in need. Reasonable cost and shipping
