The missing clock can happen if the player fails to connect to MySB.com.
This can have various reasons, incl. temporary network outage. Please
reboot the device and check again.
Hi All! I am not sure what happened but now when my Radio is stopped or off it no longer shows the clock but only a blank, black screen. I have double checked the screensaver menu in the settings and no matter which version of the clock I choose nothing shows up when the radio is inactive. The now playing and menu screens all still work so the screen itself is not bad. I am not sure what I did but I really need to have the clock functional as that is it's main use as a bedside squeezebox. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for any help.
Are you running the community firmware and just upgraded to a new version? If so, then re-install the plugins on the radio or at least the custom clock helper plugin. It's in the "3rd Party Apps" menu.

It shows I am running 7.7.3. I was not aware of a community firmware. Is it recommended? Can you link me to a "how to install'? Hopefully it is not too complicated....Thanks for the help!

Hi Michael! I have my mysqueezebox.com credentials in LMS. When I switch the player to mysqueezebox.com then it shows the clock as expected but when I switch back to LMS (picoreplayer LMS version 8.1.0) then the clock disappears again. In the past the clock always persisted when connected to LMS so this is a bit confusing. I am also struggling with keeping this radio connected to wifi like a lot of people these days but even with this struggle the clock would still show up until recently. Not sure what to do now.
So I updated the picoreplayer and the LMS to 8.3 and that seems to have done the trick. It's weird that it just suddenly stopped working one day but I am glad I was able to get it sorted. Now to just figure out how to keep the radio connected to my wifi...
This happens to me on piCorePlayer if I experience a power outage and piCorePlayer reboots before my router, thereby piCorePlayer cannot connect for the time and sets it to initial epoch time (i.e. 00:00:00 UTC on 1 January 1970)
Rebooting the ipCorePlayer (through the WebUI, and after shutting down LMS) solved it for me.

We had a brief power outage yesterday and my clock disappeared again. I tried your method of stopping LMS and rebooting pCP and that worked great! Thanks for the tip!
