How to clean external shell of jogs/knobs in radio?

    Hello,
I have a question for You, dear users of Squeezebox Radio

How to clean the outer shell of the knobs of Volume and main jog so as not to damage this shell?

Hello! I also had sticky rotary knobs, probably due to migration of plasticizer. To solve this, you can just pull out both knobs and then rub them vigorously with a cloth and rubbing alcohol, maybe use your fingernails to scrub a bit. For me this has removed all the rubbery stuff and left a pristine hard plastic surface finish.

Lots of threads about this and a few different cleaning methods.

After cleaning, one user has recoated with a rubber lacquer - detailed at end of this thread https://forums.slimdevices.com/showt...ky-front-panel
