  • Anyone in the UK looking for a deal on a Duet?

On the US (?) ebay site, there is a duet listed, starting bid $1USD, no bids yet, and it is pickup only from Teddington UK.

Not sure if it is listed on the UK site, but being pickup only, it's really not practical for those of us not on your side of the pond . But maybe a deal for someone?

Be careful to not bid against each other . Maybe you can conspire on this thread.

It does indeed appear on the UK site but not if you search for "Squeezebox Duet". I had to search for the seller's name. That is going to limit the number of bids.

I usually search for just squeezebox to see what's out there. I occasionally buy more (that I don't need, I may need professional help).

I did a search as you mentioned here and it does turn up on our site, a few listings down.

It doesn't appear at all for me if I search for Squeezebox or Squeezebox Duet. No idea why.

The full description does state "Collection Only" but still weird.

It is not far from me … so I’ve put in a bid (first I think)

I see it sold for $1USD (I think*). Did you get it Paul?

If so, bargain of the century!

                        Jim

                        * I say I think because ebay has a habit of taking down a listing a short time after it sold, I can't go back to double check.

I checked as well as eBay kept sending me reminders about it. It actually seemed to show 2 bids at the end but they appeared to both be the same bid.

ah, right, I remember seeing that as well. They were also sending me reminders that it was ending because I viewed it, but I didn't respond until shortly after it ended, then I could see it, not now.

I guess I understand why you can't go back and see the end price unless you watch listed an item. I imagine that might limit potential bidding on future items,

I can still see the outcome from the link in the email eBay sent me.
