I haven't used a Mac in decades, but I see that VirtualBox https://www.virtualbox.org/ will run on MacOS. If you use that to install a Linux VM on your Mac, I would have thought you could run Net-UDAP on that. It's a bit of a faff to set up for one task, I grant you, but you only have to do it once and it costs nothing except your time. Once you've done it, you may find that having a Linux VM available at the click of a mouse can be handy for all sorts of reasons.

Hopefully ralphy's squeezeconfig beta app, or the sbconfig utility mentioned by Kebul can then be used to configure the Receiver.
The controller is only needed to set up the receiver. The other tools (Net::UDAP and SBConfig) can be used to config the receiver if you don't have a Duet Controller. Once the receiver is set up you can control what it plays using Material skin, web browser, Orange Squeeze, iPeng, etc.

If so, install the LMS material skin on LMS, and you should be able to control your SB Receiver from your smartphone by accessing LMS Material from your web browser. No special control app needed.

There's sbconfig - a newer utility to configure the older SB devices, available for MacOS

    https://jcrummy.github.io/gosqueeze/

    Announcement page in these forums:

    https://forums.slimdevices.com/showt...ration-utility

No idea if it actually works OK for MacOS, seemed to be some issues, but worth a try nonetheless.

The Android version started life/discussion here:

    http://forums.slimdevices.com/showth...ol-for-Android

and can be downloaded from here:

    https://sourceforge.net/projects/lms...P.zip/download

With respect to your current devices I guess your only other option would be to buy a used Duet or Controller from eBay.

Your final option would be to replace the receiver with one of the more recent streamer options...
    for example:

Discussion threads on the forum for piCorePlayer and Dac32:

    https://forums.slimdevices.com/showt...rePlayer-8-0-0

    https://forums.slimdevices.com/showt...music-streamer

    Good luck

    Kev

If you can sideload apps on your android device, the squeezeconfig beta udap apk is available from my downloads site.

Working...
