Need Power Adapter for Receiver, can't find one anywhere....

Logitech Order Cancelled

I have two receivers. The power adapter died on one of them after a power failure (I was able to verify by swapping the adapters between my two receivers).

Ordered one on the Logitech website at the link https://support.logi.com/hc/en-us/ar...zebox-Receiver

But, alas, after about a week, they cancelled my order stating the item was no longer available. But they haven't taken that page down.

So, I'll try the other suggestions. The Belker one looks promising.

Your dead PS should have the voltage printed on it if you want to verify. The receiver takes 9V. Mine isn't the brand I linked, but I just set it to 9V, picked the adapter that fit the receiver and my receiver has been happy ever since.

Cut the plug and a length of lead off the old PSU so you can splice/solder onto the new one. Plenty of 9v psu around but finding the right (non standard) plug is nigh-on impossible. Any that you find will be close but loose fitting.

I must have been lucky! One of the several plugs that came with my adjustable power supply fit my receiver perfectly. No need to cut the connector off the original PS.

If the PS ever fails on one of my controller cradles I will cut that line and make it a A type USB connection and use a standard 5V wall wart.

I bought the one that w3w recommended (cheap) and agree, one of the plugs worked out of the box. And you get a whole lot of other plugs you may (or may not) need some day!

Either way, power supply for the receiver or charging cradle, make sure to note polarity. SB's are center positive, but there are power supplies out there (telecom? Musician? can't remember) that are center negative. If the old one is working, but not well enough, test polarity before, say cutting the cradle cable.

I had another Receiver power supply fail on me. Can't really complain - it had lasted over ten years. The Logitech store doesn't sell replacement power supplies for the Receiver anymore. Finding a replacement power supply with the correct barrel size (3.5/1.05mm) continues to be an issue.

I found a new solution that should last me a long time. Adafruit sells a 30 Piece 5.5 / 2.1mm to DC Barrel Jack Adapter Kit for about $11 + shipping. One of the adapters converts the 5.5mm/2.1mm barrel (which is a standard size) to 3.5mm/1.1mm. That's close enough to the required barrel specs (3.5/1.05mm) and fits just fine. That just leaves buying the power supply itself, which must provide 9V and 5W. Digi-Key sells several, including the VEL05US090-US-JA, for about $7 each plus shipping. That power supply has the standard 5.5mm/2.1mm barrel. Plug it into the Adafruit 3.5/1.1mm converter, and you're back in business. It's a bit wasteful, though, because the Adafruit kit has 29 other adapters of different sizes that you may not be able to use.

Anyway, this resolved my issue, and presumably if/when the current power supply fails, I can reuse the Adafruit barrel adapter.
