I purchased 2 of these https://www.ebay.com/itm/AC-Adapter-...d/121090178785 from ebay the last time I had one die, which was fortuitous since one of them died 3 month later.

I have had an odd experience where the replacement power supply doesn't work initially, but connecting the receiver which had the failed power supply to an original Logitech supply has fixed the problem where the replacement power supply works on subsequent connections, so I'm going to pick up 2 of the replacements direct from Logitech in the, likely, event my ebay replacement dies.

Annoyingly Logitech UK doesn't seem to sell Squeezebox spare parts. It directs me to the US site, and then offers me no country to ship to except USA. One of my Reciever PSUs has died, I am using a spare but would like to replenish my stock. Someone once mentioned a suitable PSU from Maplin, does anyone have the part number?

          You could try this one
Main system - Rock Solid with LMS 8.3.1 on WHS 2011 - 2 Duets ( both WiFi, farthest unit gets 60% signal strength and always works since new power supply) and Squeeseslave
          Cabin system - Rock solid with LMS 8.3.1 on Win10 Pro - 1 RPi 3 Model B (WiFi) /Hifiberry DAC+ Pro/PiCorePlayer and Squeezeslave
Squeezebox Boom - "At Large" player around both home and cabin
Headphones and car - Android phone/Bluetooth w/full library on MicroSD card - PowerAmp music player app (similar to Material Skin)

Anyway I've ordered one. It can't be much worse than the Logitech supply given how frequently they fail based on the reports here. I have had no other small (or large) switched mode power supply fail on me, and I have a fair number in the house supplying cordless phones, DACs, ethernet switches and routers etc.

Now my Receiver PSU has failed completely, thinking back on the increasing problems I've had for the last few years I believe this PSU has been marginal for at least three years.

I'll knock on wood as both mine have been going strong for 9 years!

Could you let me know if it works please Owen? I've emailed the specifications of the connector to another supplier but no joy as yet.

Yes it works. It comes with a set of five connectors and you attach the appriopriate one to the lead. The outer barrel is bang on for size (checked it with my micrometer) but the hole down the inside is a bit big so it fits slackly into the Receiver and can be wobbled about. The connection seems reliable though. More of a problem for me is the connector is right angled, which is very constraining with the other equipment I have around the Receiver.

This is a 2A supply, the old Receiver one is 0.56A. So the new supply has a lot more headroom. Whether that will help it last longer is unknown but I am hopeful.

                    Duet Power Adapter Question.

One of my 3 Duets was powerless. Checked, and it is a bad power cord.

Upon the advice of a Logitech phone support Person, I ordered one on their website..... AC adapter for Squeezebox Duet (requires power plate kit sold separately) The part number on the unit is 830-000019.

After placing my order, I checked my unit and the part number on my unit is 830-000020. It's probably close to 10 years old.

Will the adapter be compatible? The dead adapter part number is PSA05R-090 and it has a bar code of P8270197A1. Should I try to cancel my order or will the 'spare part work with my unit?

I don't think they have changed the voltage - it's 9V for the duet. It just had a tiny power jack, but in case it does not come with the right one, these are easy to find at digikey or your local electronic store or probably on amazon. Then it requires 5 minutes of soldering.
                      LMS 8.2 on Odroid-C4 - SqueezeAMP!, 5xRadio, 5xBoom, 2xDuet, 1xTouch, 1xSB3. Sonos PLAY:3, PLAY:5, Marantz NR1603, Foobar2000, ShairPortW, 2xChromecast Audio, Chromecast v1 and v2, Squeezelite on Pi, Yamaha WX-010, AppleTV 4, Airport Express, GGMM E5, RivaArena 1 & 3

Looking at the part numbers for my duet controller & receiver

                        830-000019 is the Duet controller
                        830-000020 is the Duet Receiver

The PSA05R-090 (Phihong part no.) is the power supply for the receiver (Logitech 993-000236) and NOT the cradle for the Duet Controller (830-000026 Phihong PSM11R-050)

Thanks. I ordered the 'spare part' from the Logitech site and it works perfectly! The power connector to the receiver is the same size and it's an exact fit.

So I went and looked at it and all the lights (front indicator and Ethernet) were out so I unplugged it for a few minutes. Plugged it back in and I can here a little humming noise and I can see a light coming out of the spdif port, but that's it. Is this similar to what you found?
I have the same issue as you've described and found by chance your post. What was the issue at the end? broken power supply? the receiver?
                            thanks for any help.

Appreciate all the info in this thread. Undoubtedly, the easiest way is to order from Logitech, which I just did. In the meantime, I did have an adapter on one of my universals that let me power up the receiver. It's not a perfect fit, but it's working. I'll switch to the Logitech when it arrives.

Is there a danger of fire or anything in using an adapter that isn't a perfect fit?
