Will SC recognize "Original Date" tag?

I'd like to be able to set up some playlists by decade, but most of my tracks are tagged with the album release date (which is sometimes later than the original release date, and is always on complilations). I mainly use MediaMonkey to maintain tags, and it has a property called "Original Date". Is it possible to set up Squeezecenter to override the normal "Date" tag, and use the "Original Date" if its available?

traut, Did you ever figure this out? I want to do just about the same thing: see the MediaMonkey "Original Date" instead of "Date" as the "Year" in my Squeezebox Duet "My Music" menu. I've installed the CustomScan plug-in in Squeezebox but don't know where to go from here...
