Does LMS support external/sidecar tags

I am looking to add a large amount of Grateful Dead recordings to my lms server. Before doing so I need to tag them and was curious if LMS supports any types of external tags. Searching online I am not finding much info. This would be helpful as I could still seed the shows

LMS supports reading tags from CUE files, so that might be a way.

Can you describe your sidecar files, and how the metadata is stored? LMS can only read / handle some specific tags. There is an old plug-in that allowed arbitraty tags to be added, but I don't know if that works anymore (and for the me, the additilonal complexity and burden wasn't worth my time). Perhaps the metadata could be placed into the Comment tag (unless that's otherwise already in use).
