If this player is connected to mysqueezebox you can't play to it from Daphile or LMS.

Only one of the players in the list below is a true Logitech hardware device.
Interesting. So far I had only tried to connect my non-Logitech players to mysqueezebox.com via jivelite on my piCorePlayer, or by using SqueezePlay on a Windows PC as controller. Then connecting to mysqueezebox.com did not work. But indeed, when selecting mysqueezebox.com via LMS interface > Home > Extras > Music Source, my piCorePlayer did connect to mysqueezebox.com, and I could use the Remote Control on mysqueezebox to control my pCP (and btw I needed to reboot my pCP to connect to LMS again).

It doesn't make sense however to do this. If you can only connect a non-Logitech player to mysqueezebox.com via the Music Source selection on LMS, you still need to run a local LMS server. And then it has no added value to connect the player to mysqueezebox.com.

Works for me - LMS interface > Player dropdown > choose player to pull from mysqueezebox.com.

OK, thanks. So you can connect/disconnect a player to/from mysqueezebox.com via LMS. But it is a use case that does not make sense to me.

In the past, at my weekend cabin, I had my Squeezebox players connected only to mysqueezebox.com for folks (like my wife and others) to use when I wasn't there as well. But when I was there, I'd run LMS on my laptop, with my own music files. So in LMS, I needed to move the players from mysqueezebox.com to my local LMS.

p.s. I no longer need to do this as I keep the players connected to LMS all the time, with LMS running on an rPi4.

Gentlemen, I also use a browser and files on my NAS on a daily basis, or I run it via the Squeezer application on my phone, but I am, so to speak, "another person" - what does it mean? - I explain: my assumptions are as follows ... if someone somewhere, something, once placed it, then it is made to work and help people, regardless of whether it is a button in the car (e.g. seat heating) or like thuja has this is where you connect your player and control it from your account. I know it's not always needed, but when it is - it's supposed to work! - that's who I am and well - I know it's weird for some people, but that's how I am. It often turns out that I am right and it works, you just need to know how to do it. There are not always instructions and not always clearly written.
Thanks again for your involvement and your help, especially Kidstypike you, it was your screenshot and suggestions that guided me how to do it.
