Radio station works on LMS, fails on myqueezebox.com
I am trying to reduce my reliance on my local LMS. I mostly use a Squeezebox Radio to listen to internet radio so this is feasible.
Can we ask why you are trying to reduce your LMS reliance? I agree it "seems" like since you mostly listen to radio it "should" work. The problem (as @bpa pointed out) is that the alternative, mysb.com, is not the answer. There has been no new development on it in years, and is only kept alive for legacy purposes. There are a few issues with it, but the biggest one in your case is the move from http to https by streams, which started after development for my sb.com. I am thinking many stations you have that work only keep the http streams alive for legacy reasons (that's an assuption)
Again, not sure of your motive, but you could buy a raspberry pi (even the lesser models), install picore player, and LMS to use it as a server only. Then leave it on 24/7 (as I do). Then just pretend you are connected to mysb.com
SQ radio does not support https and so station has to be proxied through LMS to convert a https stream to http.
mysqueezebox.com does not proxy any stream.
Thanks. Kind of a bummer, but I understand now.
