Hi Phil (DD);
The easiest way to address your radio wifi issue is by installing the community firmware and changing a few settings.
There are 71 pages of posts, and I am sure that the answer is near the end, but since I don't use it (no problems with my radi), I can't help you. Why don't you post on that thread and have someone guide you to the instructions. It won't be a widget, but it's straight forward

Just got back to site. Somehow got LMS WORKING BUT COULDN'T TELL YOU HOW
The only (and original) issue is WIFI dropping.
This thread seems to have "the answer":
Been over 3 years since my SB Radios started disconnecting from WiFi due to neighbors WiFi6 interference and my only solution was a Vonets WiFI dongle (wlanpoke did not work reliably for my interference. If you're using wlanpoke, disable it (delete rcS.local in /etc/init.d/)) The fix for the WiFI Disconnect is to comment out
Of course, I can't fathom it! The step where you go onto a computer leaves me totally clueless!
I'm hoping to see a widget or whatever they are, something that can be accomplished in the radio's menu.
Thanks for hanging in with me,

let me also suggest that you post in one place, you also posted here: https://forums.slimdevices.com/forum...51#post1644651
Let's start here with everything, then if we have to branch out to other categories we can. It's not easy when related issues are being addressed on different threads

Hi Phil;
I hope you are well. Since you revived a thread you started 18 months ago, and we are still unsure if you have fixed your radio connectivity problem or your mysb.com problem, might I suggest that you give us a brief summary of where you are in enjoying your music - what works, what doesn't? I ask because there was the radio connectivity issue (other thread), the mysb.com issue (earlier in this thread), and now an LMS install?
Give us a summary of what works and what doesn't and we can better help you out
PS - There has been some progress made in fixing the radio connectivity issue in the past couple months

This has nothing to do with mysqueezebox but doesn't it let you force the install?Leave a comment:

sorry, I'm helpless. that's why I'm here! I don't come often and I usually can't fix my own problem. FYI, I tried loading (again) LMS and my mac informs me it can't determine if it's safe, won't install, contact the developer!

Hello. I have the same problem as many who bought a Logitech Transporter player on the secondary market.
Can you help me untie the device from the account on the site mysqueezebox.ru ?Leave a comment:

OK!
I started a new thread here: https://forums.slimdevices.com/showt...(Verizon)Wi-Fi
PS: I am not having a problem finding MSB.com or LMS on my laptop (once I connect with my router via ethernet)
I am unable to connect via WiFi whether by mating or password.Last edited by pfcs49; 2022-02-17, 01:34.Leave a comment:

Are you saying that none of the Radios would connect? Maybe the new
router's wifi is only using newer protocols, while the Radio is a bit
stuck on the past. Maybe you find other fellow Verizon users who know
the router? It might be crucial to configure it correctly in order to
still support the Radios.
Please search the forum for Verizon specific issues, or start a new
thread (as this most likely is not MySqueezebox.com related).
From what I remember he was running 3 radios on LMS on an old mac, and also wanted spotty to work. We went through quite a few "what if"s and addressed the mac, networking, etc. I think the last we left off he had gotten a new isp an/or router and maybe (?) had some success connecting to mysb.com, but not LMS. I remember he decided to order a new mac. Perhaps this has arrived and he still needs help.
Phil, I agree with Michael. Start a new thread in the logitech media server section (or general if you think the radios are at fault). Please reference both this thread, and the one that I linked above. That way, the people that have been helping you to date can have their memory refreshed..
Also, please try to be as concise as possible as to what you have done, and what remains to be resolved.

HEADS UP MIKE!
After waiting over two weeks for someone to respond to above post, I PM'd Michael soliciting further coaching.
I don't know if it even sent!! PMs from this site seem screwyLeave a comment:

OK!! some positive results from the "User from Hell" file:
As reported, the new and latest Verizon router is up and running my network.
With thew new computer, Spotty and many others showed up in LMS and Spotty was installed without any problems!!
BUT...with the radio(s) a foot away, I cannot get a wireless connection working (I've been running 3 radios on WIFI), either by the pushbutton protocol OR entering in the router password.
I DID migrate everything from the old Mac (I didn't install fresh) because of profound ignorance.
The IO Socket is SSL:2.066, just one digit shy of your boundary.
When I try to get a wireless connection working, I get a message "we were unable to find a DHCP address for this network"
I humbly await your coaching and correction, known as a rescue!
Tell me your PayPal address and I'll make a donation.

The point is that most likely the answer to my basic question:
"What IO::Socket::SSL version are you using (see Settings/Information)?"
would help us to get a better understanding of what's wrong with your
system. I still believe this is outdated, and therefor LMS fails to
connect to MySB. And that's the reason why some players might be missing
from your account etc. So really: get that number. If it's lower than
2.067, the first answer to your problems will be to update that library.
Or to get a more recent computer or whatever.

Yes, that should help. There's little reason to continue investigations
before you have moved to the new installation.
> So I hear that I don't need MSB.com anymore, just LMS? Is that so?
Depends on what you want to do. Some music services still require MySB.
But LMS would talk to MySB in the background. There's no need to hook up
your devices to MySB.
> I hear I need to reinstall LMS? Is that true? If so will I need to
With a new computer you'll obviously have to re-install LMS.

Then don't try to migrate an installation. Just install afresh.Last edited by pfcs49; 2022-01-30, 22:41.Leave a comment:

Progress?
Regarding LMS and 3rd party extensions.
Only two lists show, active and inactive plugins. Clicking on the triangle/chevron of inactive plugins hides or unhides that list.
There is no chevron or label for 3rd party (where spotty would be)
Looking for ways to uninstall/reinstall LMS, I went toPlayers and found a radio! Progress? And alongside that radio is this note below:
"You seem to be using a Squeezebox with an outdated firmware, not recognizing this version of Logitech Media Server. Please consider using the Community Firmware plugin, or patching the device's firmware (get more information)."
I will cross-post this where Michael says my conversations should be.
