Cannot add TuneIn station

Yes I just use 'mysqueezebox.com` so I can tell the radio station I'd need an http/mp3 or http/aac stream (no s)? Thanks we will see if they are willing

Just checked - the old suggested URL will now only play with HTTPS - it does not play with HTTP only and so Radio will not be able to play it through mysqueezebox.com only using a local LMS.

hi bpa, picking this back up after a long break, I was directed to you for hopefully a little more information.

I am in contact with the radio station and it sounds like they may be willing to 'fix' it so tunein on the squeezebox tunein works again. but they need to know 'what kind of stream' is needed - they asked if an mp3 or https stream is needed.

When I use TuneIn I cannot find any smile.fm stations so they may geo restricted to US. The Smile FM station that I see on TuneIn is Romanian.

If you are using mysqueezebox.com and do NOT have a LMS - then https URLs will not work.
Only http URLs will work.

Squeezebox radio supports http/MP3 and http/AAC.

If the station has moved from plain http transport to HLS transport - then you will need LMS to play then streams.

A month or two ago our squeezebox radios started giving an error for one of the TuneIn streams. I finally went in deleted the favorite and attempted to re-add it. but it doesn't show up as an option :/
The station **IS** on the TuneIn website and I can find and add from the TuneIn app on my phone, and from the TuneIn app on our Rokus.

So I did some digging, in the hopes that you can help.

smile.fm website: https://www.smile.fm/ (They pretty much cover the lower peninsula of Michigan via repeater stations: https://smile.fm/about/stations.asp Pretty sure the master is 88.1 Lansing)

I suspect that either:
a. somehow it got removed or something from the squeezebox list of stations?
b. those urls actually provide the app with many kinds of streams the app can request and smile.fm is no longer providing a content type that the squeezebox can decode.

If it is option b could you tell me what stream type they would need to turn back on?

Quite a few SmileFM stations are listed in the RadioNet plugin. None of them play for me in the UK but maybe they would work for you.

MP3 would certainly be the most universal. Did you try the URL bpa
shared with you? It seems to be AAC, which SB should be able to play.
