No, you shouldn't need to do so. This change is only about non-SB
players. After all I'm in the same situation as you. Just unearthed a SB
I haven't used for years to set up in the basement.

You seem to have an interesting hobby. I guess you handle roughly 50
accounts with far more than 100 players. Am I far off?

Michael, Is it intended or a bug that mysqueezebox.com "My Apps" won't show up for the accounts that don't have or haven't ever had any hardware player registered?
This is at least how it seems to behave now.Kimmo

No, not at this point. Are you running the very latest LMS?
Where did you check? Can you check all interfaces (player, mobile, web)?
Is this a newly installed system or did its apps list recently change?

That's correct: software players are no longer registered on mysb.com.
Therefore they won't work unless you have another player registered
already. If this is a new account, then you'll have to register a SB in
order to get access to mysb.com's services.

The MyApps menu is player-specific, it should never show without a player---

The Controller isn't a player :-)
But let me double check that. I think there was a player beta feature
built-in to some later firmware...

Yes, that's correct. This should never have been possible. ickStream or
Triode's Spotify plugin are potential solutions for those users.

would it eventually be some account based "my apps" menu that's aviable trough LMS ? So that soft players could use them trough LMS or does some apps strictly needs to belong to a specific player ?
Some services require real hardware , but it's as it's always been so this is not new .--------------------------------------------------------------------
