That probably explains it then. My figures are very different. Does Vinyl Studio normalise each track separately? My highest peak is track 3 followed by track 1 but track 5 has a lower peak than both of them.

VinylStudio can do “normalisation” but I don’t use it. My RG tags come from Foobar2000 which I use as a post processor after Flacs have been created.

What are your tags for track 9 then. That seems to be the quietest track on my album.

Strange. Your track peak is the same as for track 5 and the album peak but mine is only 0.597839 compared to an album peak of 0.957336.

Unless you used exactly the same recording level as I did there are bound to be different RG values.

If I increased the recording level it would have clipped though. I wouldn't expect all the tracks to have exactly the samee peak value either. It just seems odd that all of your track peaks are 0.999969 without using normalisation. I noticed some of my recent captures had the recording level set slightly too high and I know a couple of tracks clipped and those track peaks were 0.999969. These peaks are normally very short duration and probably inaudible but something to watch out for.

Playing the longest track in my music collection. La Monte Young and Marian Zazeela - The Well-Tuned Piano in the Magenta Lights: “87 V 10 6:43:00 PM — 87 V 11 1:07:45 AM NYC”. It's 6h25m01s long, and I rarely play it all the way through!

Apropos this longest track in my collection, I'm currently playing Sly and The Family Stone There's a Riot Goin' On - and the title track must be the shortest in my collection. It's a blank track but it clocks in at 4 seconds.
