Similar sort of price but can’t say exactly. I bought a lot of second hand CDs about 10-12 years or so ago. Coincided with first SB3 purchase for some reason. I didn’t start needledropping until a couple of years later.

A couple of tracks on my vinyl had an annoying amount of static like noise which was difficult to eliminate but I am happy with the end result.

                          • I've been playing Coil's debut album Scatology (1985) a fair bit lately. The B-side of a single taken from the album was a cover of Tainted Love, the Ed Cobb song made famous by Soft Cell all those years ago (and before that by Gloria Jones). Coil's version slows this to funereal pace as a reflection on HIV/AIDS. The video has an appearance from Marc Almond as a sinister leather-clad presence (he also contributes vocals to the recording) - it was also issued as a benefit for the Terence Higgins Trust.

                            • I've previously mentioned a needledrop of The Wall that I heard where the sound of a bone breaking in "The Happiest Days Of Our Lives" was inaudible presumably due to click removal software. I have finally got around to ripping my copy and running it through a trial version of iZotope RX which is supposedly the Rolls Royce of declicking software does indeed remove that detail. Slightly at low Sensitivity settings and completely at a Sensitivity of 4 out of 10. So be careful out there 🤣

Second Album by the super producer of many, my favorite, but Acadie is very close, I first heard this at a friends house many years (decades) ago and had one of those "what is this??!!" moments.

As a result, What am I listening to today?:

                                Emmylou Harris - Wreaking Ball

Quite the departure from a typical EH album, produced by Daniel Lanois, I love the "soundscape" on this, that Lanois used for so many other of his productions (Gabriel, U2, etc), much like Eno has a signature "sound"

What might I listen to this week?

Peter Gabriel - Us, U2 - The Joshua Tree, Daniel Lanois - Acadie or Shine, maybe Belledona (an instrumental/Ambient album)

...or, I might listen to something else
