I thought Animals was OK (perhaps because I saw them play part of it in its formacy in 74). I bought The Wall when it came out but I have never really liked it and as for Roger’s indulgence that is The Final Cut. Not at all.

Before COVID I saw a Floyd tribute band play all of WYWH and Animals in a local theatre. Being local we met a few people we knew who had seen Roger Waters around the same time. It is telling that they preferred the tribute band 🤣

I have no streaming service at the moment, but have pulled them up on you tube. I'll check it out. This conversation reminds me - Les Claypool (of Primus) has a "Live Frogs" album where they do all of Animals (which is excellent), also some "Discipline" era King Crimson. An interesting LP

I understand the sentiments toward Roger. A brilliant guy, but obsessed with proving to everyone he is right about everything. I saw him when he did the DSTM tour, then the Wall (complete with a wall) a few years later, twice I think. Then I skipped the "Us and Them" show (and the $250USD ticket price) and a friend told me it had gotten over the top with his political sentiments. "Stay in your lane" doesn't work with that type
