              • Travel, the new album by The Necks. Very soothing as I await the probable non-delivery of an album that appears to have been sent to the wrong Royal Mail delivery office.

                    • This must be one of the worst pressings in my possession. It is one of those US imports with the corner of the album sleeve cut off. Some of the tracks have a pervasive crackle which is extremely hard to remove from the waveform and would take an eternity anyway. Time will tell if it annoys me enough to delete it from my library.

                          Have you still got the WAV recording?
                          If so try loading it into VinulStudio and doing one of the "repair options" as opposed to doing it by hand in Audacity. It might surprise you just how much crackle it will get rid of.

                            Listening to it through speakers rather than headphones it didn't seem so bad. Only one quieter track is noticeably worse. If you want to see if Vinyl Studio can improve it I could PM you a Dropbox link. I can easily do another recording of that track.

                                Does it need to be a WAV? I would normally save it as a 24/96 FLAC.
