Unless you used exactly the same recording level as I did there are bound to be different RG values.Jim

The brother of a friend was (and still is I think) the drummer in a Cambridge band back in the late 80s and early 90s. During that time the guitarist from Katrina and the Waves would play with them as a side project when he wasn't busy with the Waves. This is before he wrote the Eurovision Song Contest winner 😀. When we went to see this band in a pub the other members of the Waves (no Katrina) joined the band for the final couple of songs with the drummer giving my friend's brother's drum kit a fair old thrashing during Wooly Bully 🤣

The new album from Yo La Tengo, This Stupid World, is pretty good. Shades of motorik in there, especially the first track. It's been getting some good reviews out there. I've been having it on rotation on my phone's Qobuz app.

This morning I am playing Pärson Sound's eponymous album. Originally released in 2001, the tracks were recorded in the late 1960s. Pärson Sound eventually morphed into the better known Träd, Gräs & Stenar. Anyhow, it's a pleasant enough psych-drone type sound, quite heavy at times. A good start to the working day! It's just been re-released on triple vinyl and double CD formats, though I suspect the download from Bandcamp represents best value.
