                  • My 9 yr old grandson asked if I had any records. I said yes, I have plenty (they're stored away in an enclosed bookcase in the basement where they stay cool and dry). He wanted to hear one so I just grabbed one. Turned out it was Buffalo Springfield SD2-806 a compilation with pretty much all their songs. Cranked up the my old Micro Seiki with an old Ortofon cartridge and it worked just fine. Loaded up disc 1, cleaned it with disc washer and let "For What it's Worth" go. I was surprised at how clear Steven Stills guitar sounded. While it was playing I explained how there was a single groove that went in a spiral all the way from the outside edge to the middle. It was fun passing on some history of where recordings have come from.

                    • Port Sulphur - Paranoic Critical bought via Bandcamp as vinyl plus download.

Port Sulphur is essentially Douglas MacIntyre with a host of collaborators. Includes Alan Vega (of Suicide), David Henderson (of Fire Engines, Nectarine No9, Win and Sexual Objects) and Vic Godard (of Subway Sect) among the contributing singers.

                          • Listening to Garde Du Nord - Rendezvous 8:02

This is a Music On Vinyl release which I ripped. The sound quality of this album is very good.
The music on the album is fantastic. This is a typical Gare Du Nord release; a jazzy lounge type of music.

You can have a listen here .
