I have a vinyl copy of that which has recently been digitised to FLAC. When I did the conversion I realised I had forgotten just how good an album it is.

          • There's a new compilation of Fall singles 1978-2016, all the A-sides and B-sides over 7 CDs. Which is pretty fine if, like me, you are a bit of a fan of The Fall! So, I'm enjoying that at the moment...

                    • I'm listening to A Philosophy Warping, Little By Little That Way Lies A Quagmire by Konstruct & Keiji Haino, discovered via Bandcamp

Kind of interesting blend of improv/jazz with a Turkish inflection plus Haino's usual input. Not a very inspiring sleeve design (maybe the physical copy is better).

Yes, I watched that Omemee concert, too, also not far from where I live. It was live-streamed, not on any normal channel. Since my tv doesn't have a direct internet connection other than the limited selection through my bluRay player, I decided to cast to the tv from my phone, which worked fine. Resolution wasn't perfect, but sound was great. Then the phone started to run out of juice and I decided just to turn it off, I'd seen most of the concert.

Interesting thing was, I turned off the phone but the broadcast continued on the tv. Somehow it got a feed, and the resolution was better. I still haven't figured that out. The tv was still tuned to the chromecast device, which meant something ELSE was casting to it, and that "something else" must have picked up the URL from my phone. Spooky.

I did enjoy that solo concert, just Neil and his guitars. But when it was over I watched the older much more elaborate one from Nashville, with a full crew, shortly after his flirtation with death when he had the aneurysm. Very different experience.

That explains it, thanks. I think I've used the Chromecast functionality maybe three times in as many years, so haven't really had a good understanding of it.
