Squeezebox 7.4.1 as service on Windows Server 2008

How can I install Squeezebox as a service on Windows Server 2008/Small Business Server 2008 so it would start when I boot up the server? On squeezebox server control panel-->automatically run at system start and typed in an administrator's username and password. However next time I restart the computer, the squeezebox server won't start and the username/password combination is gone. Is there any other way to start the server as a service?

What happened to the Windows Service??

I have an older Windows 2000 server. But I think the solution will be the same for you. The service option is available through the SqueezeBox Control Panel (right click on the SqueezeBox Icon by the clock). On the status page, click "Stop the Squeezebox Server". In the Startup Options, select "Automatically run at system start". Then press OK. You may get a warning that it was unable to validate your mysqueezebox.com account but don't worry about that. Just click OK and re-open the Control Panel to ensure the setting took hold. Then start the Squeezebox server. The service will now show up in the Services applet of Windows and it should start every time Windows starts. Enjoy!

I think it will not easily run as a service on a Windows domain controller, as this is much more restrictive than other Windows systems. It should still be possible, but will require some more Windows knowledge. You should be able to install it manually by running "SqueezeSvr.exe --install" as an admin. Would this work?
