  • Virtual libraries + Qobuz

    Hi all,

Maybe it's a known behaviour but I don't like it and didn't find anything about that in forums:

I use Qobuz plugin and virtual libraries. When I select in MyMusic a virtual lib (built from a local source) the ALBUMS view is OK, I see only those are expected, but the ARTISTS view shows the expected artists added to ALL artists of my favorite albums from Qobuz

If it's an unknown subject I can collect and give more details.

This behaviour certainly depends on the library definition. Can you share more information?

Can you tell me what's wrong in that artists list? What artist shouldn't be there?

I see that one album which is "Various Artists". Could it be that the artists you don't like in that artists list are contributors to that VA album?

Daniel Barenboïm, for example, is a classical pianist, he comes from Beethoven piano sonata, Count Basie, Marcus Miller, Ahmad Jamal The Animals.... all come from Qobuz.

When I disable Qobuz and rebuild all database, the result is five artists (Various is one of them...):

And when I reconnect Qobuz, all these artists come back; I like them, of course, I have nothing against them , but they should not appear with the selected VA.

Another element, in artists view, when I click on an artist who comes from Qobuz (Barenboim) then on a legitimate one (Stevie Ray Vaughan) :

Erratum: the selected virtual lib, not the "selected VA", sorry

Would you mind dropping a copy of your library.db to https://www.dropbox.com/request/T3RctyzGgNg0oFDubq6a?

That's really odd: Those artists are not part of the "library artists" table in the database file. I'll have to dig deeper - which might take more time.

                          Hello Michael,

Can I help ? I see that as you said all intruders are absent from the library_contributor table and have "qobuz:...." in extid field of the contributors table. I tried to log in debug mode but I don't see anything suspect, no message when clicking on the views. IMHO, as everything seems to be OK in the database these artists are probably added at execution time, but I'm not in the code, it's just a suggestion.
Tell me if I could contribute.

                          Regards

I'd still be interested in the log file. Maybe you need to shut down LMS, wipe the cache.db, restart LMS, then enable the logging I mentioned before finally (and for the first time in that session) navigate to the menu. This should log the SQL statements as executed by LMS.

Ok, I’ll work in that way on this weekend, but what is the « logging I (you) mentioned before », I assume it is logging the sql statements option ?
