Using "Radio" > "Search" I can see that several of my favorited stations have new icon artwork. Tried deleting/re-adding the stations to favorites, but old artwork returns. Have cleared every cache I know and still the old art persists. How can I force this to refresh? Thanks.

I don't have an answer for you, but remembered reading this thread...maybe there is something in it that might help you. The one from bpa seems to maybe be a good idea to remain current.

It would help the explanation if you showed the problem Favorites OPML entry.
If the URL is from an aggregator (e.g. Tune-in/Radiotime) they sometimes provide out of date icons.
If a station icon is explicitly saved in Favorites, it can depend on when & how you saved the Favorites (e.g. from a plugin menu before playing ,via More with a playing station )

I don't believe cache plays a part in the Favorites icons.
Icons in Favorites are either saved in the opml entry or somehow derived from the URL.
A "Radio" search usually means a Tune-in Radiotime URL of the type "http://opml.radiotime.com/Tunein ...
If you saved the "http://opml.radiotime.com/Tunein" from the Search results before playing - then I think the icon that is saved is supplied by the InternetRadio plugin - NOT by the station. Radiotime has often been out of date.
If you saved the Favorite with station icon while playing the station from the Search results - the icon may have been provided by the station or a plugin and that that particular location (e.g. an AWS cache) has not been updated.
The actual opml entry would clarify what is happening.

The icon comes from Tune-in (aka Radiotime) and not directly from the station so at some point it will be out of date of the station changes its logo.
The logo from source is 145x145 and so has to be resized for imageproxy to I think 600x600 for LMS web GUI. The resizing can be done on local LMS server or by mysqueezebox.com (WebUI Settings/Performance) - if logo is incorrect and mysb.com is resizing perhaps it is also cached in mysb.com

However, if I saved from now playing, the icon was usually blank when accessing the favorite. I never really cared much, but started saving from browse. Now it's good to know why.
To reliably save icon in Favorite entry, use WebUI (e.g. search, plugins) to find station and from search results list menu, BEFORE playing the station, use heart icon .
IIRC , with older "non-image" SB devices (e.g. SB3, Boom, Transporter) - the icon entry is not saved when using "save to Favorites" using "More" when playing - not sure about from Radio/Search.
When playing with a Squeezeplay devices (e.g. Radio, Touch) icon is saved when using More menu but not sure what happens if there is a "track" image showing and not a station logo.
I don't know what happens with Squeeze-ESP32 based devices as there are a bit of a hybrid - I suspect they behave more like an SB3 than a Radio.

It's interesting that saving from now playing using more is active hardware dependent (you might think it's just a LMS operation). I think I can guess why, it seems like now playing is a reflection of the LMS interaction with the target player, and search is pure LMS. Forgive me if that is a over generalization, or a bit incorrect
But, I don't plan on adding favorites from now playing in the future now that I know.

The More menu LMS code for older players just doesn't pass the icon item to the save Favouties routine - it probably could be fixed.
What I never figured out was why Favorites item which had an icon in the list - sometime lost the icon (i.e. became Antenna) once station starts playing. The RNP plugin bypasses that issue for many stations.
