Can someone please decipher my server error log entries?

I'm just a basic user who's really having a tough time since being forced to update my server setup when my laptop died. Since the new install I've had one hurdle after another with only maybe one trouble-free day of music listening in between new issues.
Today LMS is "running" but I can't connect to my player. My error log is huge with new additions every few seconds. It wasn't doing this at all a couple days ago.
What is the fault this time?

There's a networking issue on your system. LMS fails to resolve hostnames etc. And you seem to have a client open (web browser) which tries to update the status for a player which is not connected ("errorNeedsClient"). Is a firewall or something blocking LMS? Maybe a good reboot will sort things out?...

      Reboot didn't change anything.
Earlier this week I changed my home Internet from slow AT&T phone-line copper to Xfinity cable.
Possibly the new router has stiffer security than the old one. Nothing has been blocked in my Internet browsing so far.

I'll have to look into how to create exceptions, and what those addresses & ports are.

More crap I've never had to dig into before... 🙄

Guy48065, in another thread you mentioned that you are running LMS on Windows 11. To check if your connection problems are caused by the Windows 11 firewall, I suggest to check if these problems are gone when you (temporarily) disable the Microsoft Defender firewall. To do so, in the start menu search for firewall, and then click Firewall & Network Protection. Click on the active network and turn Microsoft Defender firewall off. If your LMS connection problems are then gone, you know that these are caused by the firewall, and you would need to change firewall settings. How to do this is another story.

Don't know if this might be a problem for LMS on your new network. With your windows based server on a new network did it change to believing it's on a "Public" network? It should be set to "Private" so it's discoverable by other devices on your local network. Should be somewhere in windows setting for Network and Internet.
Main system - Rock Solid with LMS 8.3.1 on WHS 2011 - 2 Duets ( both WiFi, farthest unit gets 60% signal strength and always works since new power supply) and Squeeseslave
          Cabin system - Rock solid with LMS 8.3.1 on Win10 Pro - 1 RPi 3 Model B (WiFi) /Hifiberry DAC+ Pro/PiCorePlayer and Squeezeslave
Squeezebox Boom - "At Large" player around both home and cabin
Headphones and car - Android phone/Bluetooth w/full library on MicroSD card - PowerAmp music player app (similar to Material Skin)

Do you use Malewarebytes? After a Malewarebytes update several months ago on my Windows 10 laptop, I get the cannot resolve IP address message for MySB.com. I can access music files I my laptop, but accessing the internet for streams does not work.
I have not been able to fix it, but others have been able to resolve the problem. Fortunately, I run LMS on a pCP so I don't use my laptop to run LMS unless I am traveling, which I have not done in a while, so it have not been a priority for me.

              Disabled firewall--no effect.
              Disabled router security--no effect.

I need to get into the router settings but I don't know exactly what to look for.
Wouldn't those settings affect other Internet traffic? I'm able to stream movies & TV (Kodi) no problem.

In my error logs all the hundreds of duplicate entries say
                Slim::Web::Cometd::handler (431) errorNeedsClient: 10.0.0.153, 00:04:20:22:d5:5e, status, -, 10, menu:menu, useContextMenu:1, subscribe:600

But the diagnostics tab in control panel says LMS is at .152

                Is that normal?

.153 appears to be the IP address of an expired player - see the earlier response from mherger about it.
However, that does not explain the "Failed to fetch" messages.

Much of mherger's reply was way over my head but I tried his suggestions about the firewall and reboot.
I don't understand the "expired player" part. LMS on my wife's laptop is connecting to 10.0.0.187 but I only have a single Touch operating.

I might finally be getting somewhere after a week of confusion & no music.
I snatched my wife's W10 laptop & loaded LMS 8.3.1 onto it, configured it and started the library scan.
At first it looked like this made no difference but at least LMS on her PC wasn't generating 'can't connect' errors filling the log like on my laptop.
I tried my Duet remote (which I hadn't previously) and discovered it was showing 2 library servers. The first one wouldn't connect but the 2nd one works & I'm sitting & listening right now.

I have a hunch when I swap my laptop back in that it won't work. I'm blaming it on W11 because I can't imagine what else can explain the errors on one of 2 clean installs.

                      And that's what happened.

Right now my system is up. I wish I could post the 'magic bullet' that fixed it but truth is I did a bunch of things all at once.

                      . Changed to 'private network'.
I thought I had tried this suggestion earlier but I guess I missed it.
. The server name was blank. I know I had filled that out but in all the uninstall/reinstall I must have missed it.
. Enabled SMB 1.0/CIFS file sharing support. I had to drill down pretty deep into the network adapter settings to find this. Suggested by a friend that owns a computer company. Apparently W11 implements network security differently from previous versions.
. At this point LMS was no longer generating errors in the server log but I still couldn't find a player to connect to.
. 'Forget' servers on my phone controller app. When the server came back (Discovery 'on') I clicked it--which then showed my Touch. I clicked on that and it connected. I've never had to do that manually before.

Now I'm up late listening to music. 👍

I suspect that was the issue.

It's not something I ever messed with--the install always worked for me with factory defaults.
LMS worked fine for 13 years on my Acer notebook (XP).
Worked fine on the XP Acer notebook I replaced it with (had to send it back for other issues).
Worked fine on my wife's W10 laptop.
Only my final replacement laptop had this problem.
It was bought with a clean W11 install.

When loading LMS on the wife's W10 I noticed during the install a sentence similar to "checking for security and firewall problems". I didn't see that when installing on W11--though I may have missed it.
