LMS recognizes data but does not display it

    Hello everyone,

I run the logitech media server on a Raspberry Pi OS lite (bullseye) on a Raspberry Pi 3B.
I have the music files on an external hard drive, which is connected to the router (Fritzbox 6690).
The Raspberry Pi is mounted with the Fritz.nas and the LMS also recognizes the directory and the music files.

Unfortunately, no files are displayed despite successful scanning.
Does anyone know what the cause of this could be?

    Scanner.log attached.

    Many greetings

    Permissions on the folders/files?
Can you access the files using something else that has the same credentials as LMS is using?

On the Fritzbox I created a user with read and write rights for the corresponding folder. I created the folder on the Raspberry as root. In my opinion, the rights should be sufficient.
      How can I test this?

When logged in to the system where LMS is running ... can you list the folders/files beneath the mount point?
Those sub-folders/files need to have the correct permissions as well.

Is it a CIFS mount or NFS?

Ssh onto the Pi as the user that runs LMS

Can you cd to /home/NAS and see the files?

That is what is shown in earlier posts.

(all lower case for mount name)

However, even though the permissions look like they should work (everyone can read) ... maybe it is not really the case.

The listings were done as root - but LMS is running under a different user.
Can you become that user and try to list again?

Sorry, but I'm not really familiar with user management. It looks like there is a user squeezeboxserver, but I can't access it.
                    can you guide me please?

You need to add a bit to the su command, because squeezeboxserver is a "nologin" account.

                      su - squeezeboxserver -s /bin/bash

You can return to your original user (root, in your case) by entering

                      exit

Thanks for the help. I can also see the folders and files as user "squeezeboxserver".

Does somebody still have an idea? Unfortunately the problem from the original thread is not yet solved. I would be grateful for any hint.

Try increasing the log level for the scanner.
                            Settings/Advanced/Logging
then scroll down for scanner stuff

I changed all levels related to the scanner to "debug".
Attached you can find an extract of the scanner.log file.
The cutted parts are marked with {cutted}.
