Got it. For me it would be a Win 10 window into Win 7. Did you get LMS running?
Yes, it's running, I'm still unclear why I had to turn off anti-virus, which was effectively stopping the control panel from starting and I assume initializing the LMS service.
I have a few other issues, that could be related, for example
It is. the window though is a WIN11 remote desktop connection into the WIN10 system running LMS. Over on the left is the WIN11 system I use, so web browser to read/write forum entries and the browser window to use the LMS. Good spot.
I buy old Dell corporate Optiplex Small Form factor systems to use as single function systems, I've got a few in the house. The all come with an embedded WIN1O Pro license which is almost worth what the actual PC cost. https://cathcam.wordpress.com/2021/0...ows-computers/
Not much to go on with those logs as there is no apparent difference between the non-running situation and the one that has basic (what does that mean?) functionality.
Don't really know how LMS runs on Windows. Is that installed as a service? You could try stop the service and run it as an application instead from within your user account. Chances are that you'll see a pop-up appearing from Windows defender (or whatever other anti-virus) asking you if it's okay for LMS to connect to the outside - obviously if that happens when it runs as a service you'll never see that pop-up and are thus unable to respond and the thing will just sit there waiting indefinitely.
The trouble with the account may also be a red herring. In the log I see some truncated warnings which hints towards at least one unexpected line in one of the sqlite databases which is apparently fine from the database point of view (i.e. there is no uniqueness constraint on what I hope will be an index) but has the potential of breaking the internal logic of the application.
Here are the log entries since there are not many.

Stopped LMS, installed latest Windows nightly and thats when the problem occured and LMS wouldn't start. Once Antivirus was started, this was the log. I obviously have some other issues, but the basic LMS is now working with antivirus off.

The issue may have been initiated by an MS 1st Tues of Month update. My Win10 PCs just did an cumulative update which took a while.
Just to check if it was a general Wind10 issues. I had a 8.2.0 system Win10 i7 which ran OK after the update and I then upgraded to 8.3.0 4-aug-2022 same as yorus and all worked OK.
Did you have an Win10 update around time problem with 8.2.0 started ?
My PC is vanilla Win10 home - no 3rd party security s/w - standard Windows Defender, no other apps running.
So the issue looks to be specific to your setup.
Yes, as stated in the OP, the system booted that night and installed an update. It's now WIN10 Pro build 19043.
Mines the same, Vanilla WIN10 Pro with LMS, the only other app is iDrive which backs up my NAS from Windows to the cloud. I'm OK having antivirus off since this machine is dedicated to LMS and I logon maybe 2x-3x per year to check it's ok.

You don't happen to use Malwarebyte AV products? Mind to share your full server.log.zip?
I do not use Malwarebyte products. This is a standard #WIN10 Pro system, the only thing installed on it is LMS. The server log is just as shown. Stupidly when I decided to install the latest LMS 8.3 I deleted all the LMS logs before starting.
The system does run Windows Defender Firewall and anti-virus. I tried turning off the firewall and had the same problem. Turned it back on and turned off all the Windows anti-virus setting and tried again, it went straight into the control panel with the server started. Do you have any idea which of these four anti-virus settings should stay off, or how I can debug this?
I'd be happy to stop the server, and set each one of these back on until it fails. Is there a log setting I should change before trying?
Last night the Windows 10 computer that runs headless with LMS LogitechMediaServer-8.3.0-1632112497 from September 2021 rebooted.
This morning the players were not synced, after recyncing them I started a 38-min podcast via Spotty, I just stopped after about 28-mins, nothing would play.
I updated LMS to LogitechMediaServer-8.3.0-1659590348 and the update seemed to go fine, now LMS is just dead. My update log is here if thats of any interest.
I can't get the control panel or web control to work. When I start control panel as admin, I get the initial setup screen, so I'm assuming something got corrupted. However, I can't get past the initial screen to setup again. After entering a name for the media library and the correct email address/password for mysqueezebox.com I get the following.
The screen grab shows the serverlog on the left, mysqueezebox.com login on the right and the control panel overlapping. I seem to recall reporting something similar a while ago, it was SSL or socket related. Suggestions on how to proceed?
