Web Interface not updating to reflect working plugins.

    Hi
Yesterday I did a full uninstall and reinstall (deleting all previous files) of LMS. I am now running v 7.9.2 - 1565851052 @ Thu Aug 15 09:08:10 on a HP Proliant Micro Server Windows Home Server 2011 machine. I have successfully installed a number of plugins (eg. BBC iPlayer, Radio Paradise). I can access these from my Squeezeboxes and Squeezebox Boom and indeed from SqueezePlay, but they dont appear in the web interface. This isnt life threatening, just irritating. Any ideas? I did get some warnings about a missing ddl (libgcc_s_sjlj-1.dll) when I was installing LMS, but it didnt seem to cause any problems.

    Cheers

    Paul

In the LMS web interface ... did you look under “My Apps”?

BBCiPlayer can appear under the Radio or My Apps menu depending on the setting in BBCiPlayer plugin setting.

Also make sure you have cleared the browser cache after restarting LMS.

Thanks for responding. The option to appear in My Apps is ticked in iPlayer settings. However all that appears in My Apps is App Gallery, which doesn't connect. It returns the message "www.mysqueezebox.com refused to connect." There seems to be a more general problem with connecting to mysqueezebox.com as I can't get the Control panel to accept my password. It reports networking issues, but I can log into mysqueezebox.com using IE on the server :-(

Have you filled in LMS WebUI Setting/mysqueezebox.com details ?

I have tried, but I get this error message "Invalid mysqueezebox.com username or password. (Timed out waiting for data)" I am absolutely certain that the username and password are correct.

But you don't even need mysqueezebox.com integration for LMS plugins to appear under "My Apps".

I run LMS without mysqueezebox.com integration, and all my LMS plugins appear no problem.

Yes but it is an unusual error so mysqueezebox.com issue might be indicative of other network or installation problems. If it can be cleared then it is not related - if it can't then there may be a bigger problem.

Ok, my post above has possibly only confused the issue, sorry. The server I use that runs with --nomysqueezebox.com is on a Raspberry Pi . . . pushing that aside.

I've just started LMS on my PC which I only use for testing.

The only item under "My Apps" was App Gallery, clicking on that gave me this:

So I entered my details under Settings > mysqueezebox.com tab, and now under "My Apps" I see one item "Tune In Radio".

BBC iPlayer & iPlayer Extra appear under "Radio", there's no option under the plugin(s) settings to move the menu items to My Apps, a problem we've seen before. (Yes, I've cleared the browser cache, restarted LMS, rebooted the computer).

So perhaps the OP does need to enter his mysqueezebox.com credentials?

Sorry to have polluted this thread.

Off topic to this problem but there is a bug (going back to 1.3.x) in handling of the BBCiPlayer "My Apps" settings. On some system it will not be shown in settings. It is an bug - the BBCiPlayer flag tested whether to show the setting ends up being random - so the setting can appear / disappear if other parts of the system are changed.
I only found this bug a few weeks ago and it will be fixed with some other small bugs.

IIRC but not sure, even without credentials mysqueezebox.com may be used to load info about menu and some apps which use accounts.

But something is odd and I think if errors can be cleared - the real problem may reveal itself. It is now complicated by the OP unable to get credentials accepted.

Sorry to have polluted this thread.

When I originally input my account details for mysqueezebox.com I messed up the email address domain I put in @click.com instead of @BTclick.com. I cant find where this is stored to delete it. It is also messing up the Licence Manager :-(

You should be able to go back into the LMS Setting /mysqueezebox.com tab and change the email address and password.

Settigns are kept in the prefs directory in server.prefs. The email address is in the setting sn_email - password is encoded in sn_password_sha so best go through LMS settings but at worst blank these fields and then reenter through LMS settings. LMS must be stopped if directly modifying server.prefs (in fact any prefs) files

Thanks for the suggestion. I bit the bullet and reinstalled. I cant update the account and password either from settings or the control panel. I think that Windows Home Server 2011 is blocking communications from LMS (I can log on to mysqueezebox.com from IE on the server). I will look further tonight.

Well I have just carried out an experiment with my backup server, which is running 7.8.1. I couldn't log on to mysqueezebox.com from that either. So I set up a new account, with a much less secure password and bingo I am in. This less secure account also worked with 7.9.1.
Weird, but effective. It seems that I can use a secure password to log on to mysqueezebox.com at the website but not via LSM
