Forget about my request. A clean install of the .qpkg-installer gave me LMS 8.0.3 and I am happy again.

It tends to be down a lot. That said, I have one qnap that always struggles to connect to the club repository. QLMS is quite stable now and you can always download and install manually. I prefer the qnap club route because then it picks updates automatically but if the package isn’t changing, it does not matter much.

I could never fathom why QNAP don’t put QLMS in the official repository.

I could not access qnap club 2 days ago.

Where does one download QLMS from? I've spent a bit of time poking through this and other threads to no avail!

It's at https://www.qnapclub.eu which is down right now. You must add it as a repository in App Center setting (the cog wheel) and also allow to dnload apps without certificate.

I would be a good idea to add the latest .qpkg version to the LMS repository (wherever that is) to make manual install possible in case the qnapclub server is down.
Or maybe the latest version is available elsewhere, I haven't found it anyway.

You can check the status here
Stay up to date with the latest service updates from Qnap.Club.

The repository is down and has been for a while.. I had a quick look to see if I have a downloaded copy but could not find.
I guess we have to wait for Digimaster to come along and (hopefully) provide another link.
There is another QNAP repository https://www.myqnap.org/repo.xml which has some packages, but not the QLMS one.

Thanks to David, for sending me a special messages, about the fact that qnapstore.eu is down.
So to give people the possibility, to download QLogitechMediaServer made this messages with the links.
There is a easy way, to find which file you need.
You need to be able to logon to you're QNap by ssh shell ( putty ).
Then run uname -m en look at the output.
                  Choice the right file.

                  How to install a qpkg manully [ https://rebrand.ly/qnap-install-qpkg ]
The install routine, will only install on the right architecture, if wrong will give a error.

Upgrading will go on the same way.
I'm talking with people from the QNap forum, for a other solution.
                  They have a new website/store http://myqnap.org,.
Here are the page about adding it the the app centre. [ https://rebrand.ly/qnap-install-qpkg ]

The download links will also stay available in the first messages.
IMPORTANT THIS is the latest version, which also was available on qnapstore.eu.
Working on a new version, but not ready yet.

Thanks Digimaster for getting us the links and working to make the package available again. In the interim, for other reasons, I decided to refresh my Pi/ Odroid platforms with Pi3a/4b and tried Max2play, PCP and Squeezelite. They work, but I observe that it can be a bit fiddly compared to QLMS on the Qnap, and performance is nowhere close on scans etc. Yes, you can run docker on a QNAP but QLMS is so well integrated on the QNaP that if you have one, I 100% recommend it’s the way to go.

                      Hi,

                      1. Big 'Thank You' to digimaster for maintaining this great app allowing me to access my music collection (stored on QNAP NAS) using iPeng app on my iOS devices, SqueezeBox Radio and via Webbrowser on my laptops/PCs. Keep up with the great work, please!
                      2. I can confirm QLogitechMediaServer app (I'm using version 2.31.00 despite I cannot remember from where I've downloaded it) is running flawlessly on latest QTS 5.01.2277 build 20230112 (on TS-451+) with digital signature disabled in settings. I running it with latest 8.4 nightly build w/o any issues for almost 1.5 years now.

                      Regards
                      M

Hi, using QLMS on a TS-453Pro. I am trying to update the music files and I cannot gain access to folder, through windows or via the FileStation. squeezeboxserver is the owner. The folder is no longer the primary location. I am using a different folder for the music and trying to use the locked folder as the backup.. I have tried changing ownership via windows and via FileStation and it always reverts back to "squeezeboxserver". I did have Playlists listed under this backup but deleted that and am restarting LMS to try and clear. Any suggestions or ways to change the folder owner is appreciated.

                          Hi all,
using QLogitechMediaServer 2.31.00 with Logitech Media Server Version: 8.3.1 - 1674060640
                          Using SqueezePlay 8.0.1r1420
I am having some problems with the squeezeplay player and am trying to debug what and how it is playing.
                          Changing QUIET=0 in .QLMS.conf doesn't help.
I would like to use debugging for audio source type, parsing of file names, all that can help tracking down how the server decides which file to play when one is selected on the squeezeplayer.
Are there any startup options I could use ?
(the "imbedded" player in LMS and Squeezelite-X are working fine, squeezeplay is acting weird with some files that start with the same characters)
                          Thanks in advance

                          Sorry,

Should have read a few pages back on this forum,

Found the hint there, Server Settings / Advanced / Logging / will do the trick

Not quite sure what you want to do, but changing ownership on a qnap using windows or filestation is not the way I think.

Did you try control panel / privilege / shared folders / user groups / folder name / edit shared folder permission ?

What is the actual folder that you are trying to store the music in? (Path). Is it a normal shared folder?
