LMS 7.9.0 issues
Installed LMS 7.9.0 nightly, on Squeezeplug 7.5. server.log shows LMS in a loop of start/die/re-start.
Tried sudo /usr/sbin/squeezeboxserver -d_startup. Output shows some trouble - snipped-out some parts here - can provide full output, if useful:
Found SELinux - setting security context to: texrel_shlib_t for *.so files.
Got @INC containing:

Server platfiorm is a model B RPi/512 MByte:
# uname -a
Linux squeezeplug 4.1.19+ #858 Tue Mar 15 15:52:03 GMT 2016 armv6l GNU/Linux
#cat /proc/cpuinfo
processor : 0
model name : ARMv6-compatible processor rev 7 (v6l)
BogoMIPS : 2.00
Features : half thumb fastmult vfp edsp java tls
I am guessing the next step would be try to build a local LMS.
Question: Perl v5.14 is pretty old - I guess this is due to starting with the (now old) Squeezeplug 7.5. Would it be better to start with a more recent Perl package?
Sorry for noob/ignorant question...
Thanks/paul

LMS 7.9.0 issues
Re-installed Squeezeplug 7.5 & LMS 7.9.0 nightly build. From server.log, LMS is in a start/die/re-start loop.
To get more detail, I tried: sudo /usr/sbin/squeezeboxserver -d_startup - part of the output below - can append the whole thing, if useful:
Found SELinux - setting security context to: texrel_shlib_t for *.so files.
Got @INC containing:

Platform is a RPi model B/512 MByte RAM:
# uname -a
Linux squeezeplug 4.1.19+ #858 Tue Mar 15 15:52:03 GMT 2016 armv6l GNU/Linux
# perl -v
This is perl 5, version 14, subversion 2 (v5.14.2) built for arm-linux-gnueabihf-thread-multi-64int
Looking at other threads, I think the next move is to look at building/compiling LMS.
Question: Perl v5.14 is pretty old - I guess due to using the Squeezeplug 7.5 as my start-point. Would I be better to install a more recent Perl package?
Sorry for what is certainly a noob/ignorant question.

Can't connect to LMS through browser
Michael & DrMatt,
Thanks for the replies & suggestions. I am using Vista Home (yes, really...), and was attempting to connect through FireFox to the RPi server.
Under pressure to "just get it working", I went back to LMS v7.7.5 (27th Nov. 2014), and have music again. I hope to get another try with 7.9.0 later in the week, so will update the thread if still having problems (and will look at the server log next time...).

Can't connect to LMS throughbrowser
> Now I can't connect to LMS through the web interface, although I can
How does it fail? What browser, OS etc.?
And make sure you check your server's server.log file, too.

Can't connect to LMS through browser
I am (was?) running Squeezeplug 7.5 on Rpi model B, with the fantastic additions from bpa/triode to (mostly) listen live to BBC in the UK. A recent power-cut corrupted my SD card (second or third time this has happened over ~18 months...), and wanted to get it working again. This is what I did:
0. Formatted SD card with SDFormatter, wrote Squeezeplug image to card, powered-up RPi, connected through putty
1. Expanded SD card
2. Updated LMS to 7.9.0 nightly (not sure I was running 7.9 before)
3. Updated of rpi stuff (sudo rpi-update, sudo apt-get update & sudo apt-get upgrade)
4. Added NAS path (nano /etc/fstab)
5. Generated new SSH keys
6. Re-booted
Now I can't connect to LMS through the web interface, although I can connect to the RPi through putty, and "top" shows the squeezeboxserver process occasionally, so I believe it is running, hwoever, I also can't connect to the server through the Squeezer app on my phone, so it is somehow broken.
Would be grateful for any suggestions on how to fix/debug. Wondering if I should roll-back to an earlier version of LMS (pre-7.9.0).
Thanks in advance/paul
