There seems to be a problem for some using piCoreOlayer v8.2 image. Try v8.1.

** Good News ** - My instinct is that after the 'Remove Cache' procedure, this is going to work! A media scan is ongoing. Understandably, the player preferences have to be fine tuned, but this will be quick to do.
Many thanks to everyone for solving this for me. I appreciate it very much.
Kev, you had asked about photo and video extensions. For pictures, always JPG. For videos, I have always been amazed at how the RPi/pCP/LMS has been able to stream HD video around my wired network. Usually MKV, with some quite large file sizes. 20-30GB.
I wish everyone a great weekend!

Is the date set correctly? (ssh into the pi and type date)
          How is your network configured?
If you go to Main Page and click on Extensions, when that page loads do you have a set of 5 green ticks for the internet and repository accessibility?

I'm not seeing this, I've downloaded both 32 bit and 64 bit pCP 8.2 today and used them both with no problems, I'd also suggest trying a different imager program.

I've used both Raspberry Pi imager and ApplePiBaker on Mac OS today

Pretty sure this is a known pCP v8.2 problem for some users, happened to me twice, unable to install LMS using v8.2 image, all ticks green.

Fair enough, but thought paul- & Greg had tracked it down to a time issue (towards the end of that thread), hence my previous post suggesting check date/time.

Fair enough, but a newbie to pCP wouldn't know that. Far easier to point them to a version that works out of the box.
