    Made some new Meters for Picoreplayer using Peppymeter images

    Hello for the last few weeks i've made some new meters for Picoreplayer using the meter images from PeppyMeter to be used with the Official Raspberry Pi 7" Touchscreen only caveat is to install i've had to swap out meter images from the ones which come with Jivelite it makes my life easier plus it makes them easier to install (drag and drop) as swapped VU_Meter_Jstraw_Vintage.tcz, VU_Meter_Logitech_Black.tcz and VU_Meter_Logitech_White.tcz to my meter images below

    VU_Meter_Jstraw_Vintage.tcz = Orange

    VU_Meter_Logitech_Black.tcz = White and Red

    VU_Meter_Logitech_White.tcz = Rainbow

    VU Meter files plus Mini versions download

    How to install which is just drag and drop

    Making UV Meters for Picoreplayer start to finish (the most boring video of 2023)

      Ha ha!

      I replaced the VU meter files with the peppymeter files as per your video, however, they don't work for me (meters jumping around on the screen).

      I need the smaller version images like those you supplied a while ago for my setup. .

      Pretty please.

                    Great work.

                    You could just name your files "VU_Meter_Peppy_Meter_xxxxxx.tcz" and drop them in the "tce" folder.

                    You have to make sure to transfer the tcz files as binary in winSCP otherwise Jivelite locks up. Keep an eye out for permissions.

                      Will they show up within the Picoreplayer browser control panel to swap like the included meters ?

                        Yes.

                        In the above example, it should show up as "Peppy Meter xxxxxx"

                        Edit: The code looks for "VU_Meter_" at the beginning of the filename.

                          You are doing nice work Eyerex! It's high on my to-do list to try and incorporate your stuff into my aopen chromebase builds. I'll let you know when I get there.

                            These look so good.

                            I'm not all that technical and I have no idea how these meters all work so please be kind if this is an unbelievably dumb question

                            I see some VU meters as installable extensions for piCore. What are the options for displaying them? I don't have a dedicated display for any of my players - I just manage everything via material skin on phone and tablet

                              You need to run Squeezeplay or JiveLite+Squeezelite ... however, they will only show up if it is the same device that is playing.

                              Someone has built some code to make this sort of thing work when it is playing on a remote system but I don't think it has been ported to Jivelite.
