Wake On Lan

I'm using Ubuntu 16.04 and have WOL working.

There is a delay of about 10 seconds before the computer becomes visible to the network after wake. This is consistent with when the lights start flashing on the network socket.

Is there a way to shorten this delay?

Does your BIOS allow S1 state? It would be the quickest to recover.
