lrciii , you should be able to see the mount path that you need to enter in the "Share Name" field in the Synology web interface. Quote from the Synology Help Page:

    7. After applying the NFS permission, you can find the mount path of the shared folder at the bottom-left of the NFS Permissions tab. The mount path should be in the following format: /[volume name]/[shared folder name]
In post 1467 you show the upper part of the NFS Permissions tab. According to the help page, the shared folder path should be visible at the bottom of that tab. And that is the path that you need to enter in the Share Name field. Note that path names are case sensitive.

Off topic but how did you add a link to another post? I used to be able to do this easily with Tapatalk but still haven't found how to do it in the new forum.

I was thinking the share name// mount point was the issue, & here we are!

              Thanks!

It'll take a while to work it's wat thru many many FLAC files!!

              Thank you everyone!

Nice that you sorted this out. Help pages are often written by experts for whom it is difficult to imagine the problems that non-experts encounter.

If the latter; then go to here on the LMS tab page and reverse the file (s) location to the SD card

Hi there, I have moved the PCP folder back to the sd-card and i have restarted the rpi several times. But it still keeps assessing me for user name and password which I don't seem to be... So I end up at Ludwig Beck asking for my exact bank account. I don't know how I can solve these problems.

                  • Tips on fixing corrupt filesystem fior just the picoreplayer running from recommended SD card and Raspberry pi 4 and hifiberry amp board.

Use it everyday, cats may have shutdown power strip.

When I came in, in the morning, the picoreplayer was off, I normally leave it on, and when powered on it boots the official picore display with a command prompt.

I can ping it, but it rejects the ssh and other protocols that I originally used.

I found an old backup SSD and it works, the picoreplayer boots and runs and I can play music.

It was an old backup and probably does not have all of my changes so interested in diagnosing card.

Thanks for any tips. Otherwise I might start over with a fresh install?

                    • I have only had 1 or 2 corrupt SD cards in 10 years so I don't have any real advice.

The one I can remember was on a piCorePlayer that I turned on and off at the power point for years to see what would happen. As it only happened once I can't conclude what this issue was.

To get some help, you may need to give more boot information. Is it stopping before/during piCorePlayer loading or just after piCore.

I went back a few pages to find and read some of your previous posts, but don't have a real clear sense of what your issue is, what works and what doesn't, but I did read some good advice given. I think the problem (for me) is on this thread, your issue is interspersed with 4 other discussions.

Might I suggest a step back? Start a new thread, and try to outline as precisely as you can where you are, what you have tried. Then, provide a link to that new thread here. You could also quote the names of the people that have helped you in the new thread, so we follow it over there. Example Redrum, Man in a van , etc.

The instructions for setting up a pCP with an attached USB are pretty straight forward, but there are some trip up points. It's easy for those who have done it allot to forget what it was like the first time. But it is solvable without going to your bank

Sorry for writing absolute nonsense in above quoted post. I really have no idea how this post came about.
However, I seem to have no luck with all tweaks whatsoever. PCP can access the files just fine and play them, W10 displays the share in its explorer but I cannot access it no matter how I try. This looks like the end of my Squeezebox experience.

Don't give up, there is nothing to replace it (IMO). Why not start fresh with a new thread, we'll get it sorted.

                              For what it is worth;

                              I just installed pCP v8.2.0 32 bit on a rpi 4b

Expanded the FS and attached an external usb disk

                              Installed the extra file systems

                              I did not install LMS

Configured the SMB as per Kidstypike's example.

Entered piCore as the password for user tc

Entered the rpi IP address into Explorer, typed in the user and password, Windows would not connect

                              This is my Windows install

                              Edition Windows 10 Pro
                              Version 22H2
                              Installed on ‎30/‎07/‎2022
                              OS build 19045.2728
Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.4190.0
I then opened an instance of WinSCP and was able to locate the the usb disk on the the rpi and upload a folder of music

I suggestion starting over with a new pCP set up at the beginning by downloading the pCP.zip file and creating a new image on the SD card. Then carefully follow the instructions on the documentation page. I recall having to do that when I had a problem with the set-up. Once you get everything working fine, use the feature to create a backup image of the SD card in case it becomes corrupted.

I have set pCP with LMS and samba to connect to windows 10, and I know nothing about linux.
