Sometimes the options aren't that clear to the person who wrote the program after a few years.

    • After unplugging all electronics so I could do some decorating, I’ve been plugging it back in and trying to get every thing back up and running but I’ve been having an issue with my PiCorePlayer. On the main page all looks well, but when I attempt to navigate to the ip address it won’t load. What checks so I be carrying out? Click image for larger version

      • Perhaps the IP address has changed following your router reboot.

If you have a screen attached to your pCP then check the end of the console boot process because it shows the IP address that it now has.

On the Wi-Fi settings tab it shows the Wi-Fi ip - it’s the same as before. So I was using that with “:9000” on the end. Still no luck.

          • How about http v https (https will not work)?
What happens if you click the tiny "LMS" tab at the top of the pCP web page?

Tried both http & https, no luck there either.

LMS tab looks ok too. Samba is running and has the green tick

              • Did you try clicking the tiny "LMS" that is right at the top of the pCP page (you can see it in your screenshot)?

Paul Webster was referring to the small "LMS tab" at the upper left corner, inside the red box shown in the screenshot below.
Clicking on this small tab should normally bring you to the LMS web interface.

I tried that but it hasn't. It seems quite alright.

It all seems to work perfectly. I also have no problems to access the PCP browser landing page nor do I have problems to connect through a browser or through Squeezelite-x. Problems exist only in Windows10 explorer.
One problem that persists is that I can fill in the password field alright, I click "Set password" and I restart but the password field reverts to being empty.
Another thing I encountered was that I could not tick "Set Samba" as detailed in the walkthrough here but I had to tick "Set Share" and had therefore to fill in anything in the "Server Work Group" otherwise I would not habe been able to set it. Click image for larger version

Why "Demo" in the server workgroup field?

"WORKGROUP" works for me (Win 10 pro).

The password field remains empty for me too, it's not a problem.

Hi and thanks for your reply. I had to fill in anything as otherwise the radio button "Set Shares" would have remained inactive ie unclickable. So I had to think of something. Sadly, "Workgroup" does not seem to work for me.
What did other users who operate SAMBA fill in?

EDIT I think it must have to do with LMS / pCP general setup as it is also invisible in the W10 explorer under 'network'. I can see it in the interface of my router though.

                            • You can find your Windows workgroup by going to Windows > Settings > type advanced system settings > on the System properties pop up > Computer name tab. (Won't let me take a screenshot of the System properties window).

Ok, so my workgroup is WORKGROUP. But it doesn't help.
