  • Hi Greg;

It was in the pCP NTP thread: https://forums.slimdevices.com/forum...64#post1629664

At the time we were discussing being off by seconds, so if you do add any date/time, for it to be useful it would need to be resolved down to the seconds, and either a running clock display, or the ability to do a time capture. However, based on how the discussion in that thread played out, I wonder if it's really still a need?

    • Just migrate my LMS server from an old DS213 Synology to pCP on RPi 3B (1Go Ram), with nfs mounted music folder. It is working like a charm!
Have now to upgrade LMS to v.8.3 (Release branch), a yesterday notification in LMS UI
      Thank you all

      • Hi I am planning on switching my music library from my NAS to a directly attached SSD. Is there an elegant way to just remap the whole library to this drive (e.g. I could be giving the same drive letter) or would it be more advisable to create a new library?
(I also wonder how the files will be visible in the network but this has nothing to do with LMS.)

        • Could be, but I would recommend copying your music folder to the SSD, then in LMS>Settings>Basic Settings browsing in "media folders" to the new music folder, adding it as the source of your music library, and doing a full clear and rescan.

            • Hello,
I wonder if there is a way to shut down picore player at a given time every day?
When I used to have a picore-only-player this wasn't a problem and I just pulled the plug that supplied the amp and a lot of other things too.
But now I have an RPI4 with picore player and LMS running and (soon) an attached hard disk. I would like to be able to shut down all of it.

Hm, this would require to reset the ratings plugin I guess...

pCP has "cron" - you can find it in the "Tweaks" section of the pCP web interface (might need "Beta" to be enabled).
                  Running
                  /usr/local/bin/pcp sd
                  or
                  shutdown

                  might be enough.
The help text shows how to set things up to run at different times on different (or all) days.

Thanks for your reply. Would this be the "Schedule CRON jobs"-section under "Tweaks"?

Hi, the system time is correct (cannot see it on the footer though, checked from command line)

                        • I would like to experiment with USB/IP ( usbip ) to see if I can access the USB soundcard in a remote pCP from a Windows machine.
I see that the usbip kernel modules are in pCP Extensions - but I cannot find user space tools (usbip and usbipd) that are needed to make use of it.
I checked pCP and TinyCore repo. According to an old forum post on TinyCore they were added.

I have now installed the old usbip.tcz and can run "usbip list -l" and it shows the various usb devices.
I cannot get "usbip bind" to work though. I suspect it is because some other driver already has the device and usbip cannot take over.
I will not chase this further for now though.
My plan was to access the remote USB sound card with phono stage that is connected to a record player so that I could use it from a Windows PC to experiment with declicking a record.
I'll simply move the USB device and record player to the Windows machine to test things further.
If the declick (etc) process goes well then I may well take another look at getting it to work from remote.
