My guess is that you ran out of disk space during install. How big is your partition, you should have expanded it.

        Hello,
I have a PCP on a RPI2 with a Hifiberry Dac. Some days ago, it just stopped working. I don't know why. It is no longer displayed in the list of devices in my network, it is no longer listed by LMS. I have tried to look into the files on the sdcard but I could not find anything informative. The RPI fires up after being plugged but Advanced IP Scanner lists it as non-functional. It is connected by LAN.
What am I gonna do about it?

You might have a corrupted SD card (or a faulty RPi).
Try using your backup SD card ... if you don't have one then make a new pCP installation and if it works .. make a backup and save it.

When you power on, do you have a steady red led and a green led that intermittently flashes (showing activety).

If the green led flashes at a regular interval, this may indicate an error, there are error caodes over on the rpi forum.

I would use a RPI OS- 32 bit Bullseye lite as a test.

I realised that the switch wasn't plugged in (cough).

As a matter of fact I could see lights flashing... but I couldn't read the signs. Now they don't!

Just in case someone else encounters this in the future, I was able to resolve the problem by using the pCP web interface to remove both LMS and Samba and then reinstalling both. It didn't work when I only removed/reinstalled Samba.

Access to pCP web interface regularly lost

Just want to let people know about an issue that I encounter on a regular basis:

I am running piCorePlayer 8.2.0 on a Raspberry Pi Zero W. This is a player only configuration (LMS is running an a local server with Linux Mint OS).
A problem that occurs on a regular basis is that the player is still working fine, and can still be controlled via jivelite or via LMS web interface, but that the pCP web interface is not accessible anymore from a local PC or smartphone. When this occurs, pCP can also not be accessed via SSH. In this situation I need to restart pCP (via jivelite, or by doing a power cycle) to get access to web interface and SSH again. I do not access the pCP web interface very often, but in my experience access to pCP web interface and SSH is lost between circa 3 to 7 days after restarting pCP.

=> Anyone else who also experiences this problem? Any suggestions on how to prevent this problem?

When you lose access is it lost both for hostname.local AND by numeric IP address?

Since I have bookmarked the IP address of the player, I can only say for sure that I lose access to the numerical IP address.
Are you suggesting that for some reason the router changes the IP address of the player? Next time that this problem occurs I can do a network scan to check if the IP address of the player has changed, and if the player is still accessible via its hostname. But as explained, that can take a few days.

I was thinking the other way around ... that the .local name disappears.
However, if you are using the numeric IP address then that is not the problem.

                            Hi!
I'd tried to pair the digital amplifier Sabaj A30A via the USB-C input with a Raspberry Pi Zero 2W loaded with Picoreplayer 8.3.0 as a streamer (digital source). I used Pi -> micro-USB OTG -> male USB-A to male USB-C -> Sabaj A30A. With OTG cable in the chain Sabaj could display 44.1 on the USB display (with a single cable micro-usb to usb-c it could not) But the Pi continue to be unable to see the Sabaj. (aplay -l show me no soundcard) I think it is maybe a setting output problem or a problem related with the micro-usb - usb-c chain. I had also use an powered USB 3,0 hub but also no luck.
In the mean time a Raspberry Pi 4B works with the same setup with no problem with the same OS so I am sure that there is something wrong with the Raspberry Pi Zero 2W maybe its firmware?
                            Any help?
                            Thank you!

                              Hej there,

I am facing the challenge of steering the volume of a hifiberry amp2 with piCorePlayer.
The sound level of this device is very different to the rest of the players, e.g. 20% is very loud on that device compared to rest where the perceived volume is e.g. 75%.
This might blow me out of my bed in some situations ;o)

Is there a way to adjust the volume control/volume base level on piCorePlayer to make it "more silent" and in line with the other players?
I am thinking of adjusting a volume map or so...
Probably I have to dig elsewhere (Plugins, Settings, ...), but it is a piCorePlayer which makes me think of that, so many thanks in advance of how to fix that.

Thanks for any help in advance...

Does this help? You might be able to do the same with the ALSA Mixer button in Squeezelite settings.
