That is really strange. I tested another headphone (Anker Soundcore Life Q30) which was also connected before. There it works directly.
Then I switched back to the Sennheiser HD350BT and they are not working. But I saw in the log that SBC is not working with the Anker, so I switched both to AAC and saved that.
Then I connected the Sennheiser again and suddenly the buttons are working.

So everything is fine here again!

      • 32bit to 64bit LMS

What would be the “smart” way of migrating from 32bit pCP 8.1 to 64bit?

I currently use a pi3B for LMS only and will be changing to a new pi4 4GB for LMS.

Are there specific files I can copy over to speed up the process? Or must I start from scratch and reinstall everything I want?

        Thanks in advance!

        Happy New Year!

        • There is no way to migrate, the pCP aarch64 is pure 64bit. If your LMS has a complicated setup, you could copy the prefs, but most just setup from scratch.

            • Installed PCP on a Pi 3B+ as I've done before, but now going with a Pi 7" touchscreen (using. Output to the screen works, but I don't seem able to install the Custom Clock and License Manager Applets. Would like to use SDT screensaver. Was able to install them on Max2Play, just won't show as installed on the PCP (though I do have the option to (Reinstall) before I reboot. On reboot, they're not installed. Checked on in Server Settings. TIA.

              • You don't need license manager for custom clock anymore. Make sure you do a backup after installing the applets. If I recall, some parts of Custom Clock needs to be installed manually. I run it, but it's been a really long time since I installed. Local storage for jivelite is at /home/tc/.jivelite.......

                  • Losing music

I have an unusual problem. Every now and then my music folder shows up in LMS as empty. To find it again, I change the NFS version (so if it was 4.1, I change it to 4.0 and vice versa) and remount and reindex. Running pCP 8.1.0 on a Rpi 4 and the music is stored on a Synology DS218+. Thanks for any help.

                    • Is a power outtage, or planned reboot involved?

pCP starts much faster than a NAS will, so the mount will fail, unless you tell pCP to wait for a while. Setting is on by the network mount setup, and I think the default is 30sec.

I just wanted to report that Gustards new DDC, the U18 (XMOS 216) works like a charm with piCorePlayer 8.0 and 8.1

                          My output setting: iec958:CARD=G20,DEV=0

Maybe You all already knew that, but anyway.

                          Cheers/Jan

It's random and I can't remember it being connected to a power outage or reboot. But I will extend the the time to see if that stops the issue.

                              • I have been using piCorePlayer for over a year now (Raspberry Pi 4 LMS server and another Pi/hifiberry digi+ pro as a client connected to an ADI-2-DAC FS) and it has been flawless. Love the constant improvement in the software. Keep up the good work. Thank you.
