No, but only because the reports I read in the Squeezebox Radio Forum have said the community firmware doesn't help the WiFi interference issue. Reports there also are that the issue is with the old WiFi chips in the SB Radio (The 'newer' chips in the Touch are unaffected)

Edit: OK, I see now that there is hope that there may be a fix for the dropped WIFi issue, but bugs still being squashed, so I'll keep and eye on that thread. Thanks.

I'm up to date in the Squeezebox Radio Forum in the treads that discuss the WiFi dropping from interference issue, most notably https://forums.slimdevices.com/forum...lanpoke/page15
and no-one there has noted that the community firmware fixes the problem.
If there are folks who have resolved the neighbor WiFi interference problem, please link, I would love to remove the dongles and go back to the Radio's WiFI

              • I have PiCorePlayer 8.2.0 64-bit installed on my RasPi4 but it is only reachable on my home network when Ethernet is connected. The image shows everything Wifi-related completed successfully, so I'm unsure what to do. I even tried a fresh install without ethernet at all, so it only displays the wlan0 IP, but it still isn't reachable.

What do you actually mean by unreachable?

I had a similar Problem starten with raspberry. After 3 days i recognized that my router was on channel 12+13. Both not supported by raspy as not free for Private User in the US. Perhaps you can check this.

                      • Today has not been a good day. I have been using LMS on pCP for many years, and this morning it stopped working - I found myself looking at the old default interface at the start of the setup process (sign in to MySqueezebox etc).

I decided this would be a good time time to do a complete re-install on a new microSD, with a new USB stick to store my local music. I use a 2GB Pi4, so I used the 64-bit version of pCP and installed LMS, then started configuring the few plugins I use. When I got to the last of those (UPNP Bridge) and restarted LMS I found myself back at the initial LMS setup again - all the configurations I had done were gone. "Bother", I said (or something like that), and started again.

To cut a long story short, I went through this several times - at some point, restarting LMS would dump me back at the initial install with nothing saved.

I think I have found a solution, because I now have an installation which has survived several LMS restarts and pCP reboots. What made the difference was using the pCP option to store configuration files on the USB stick instead of the microSD - once I did that, everything started working.

Has anyone else come across this, and does it make any sense that using the USB stick for configuration data would be more robust? I have a vague recollection that pCP sets up a virtual disk in RAM for data which changes frequently, and maybe using external storage circumvents that.

This has cost me about six hours today - I do hope I've fixed it!

If not you might have run out of space on the SD card while installing the xxx Bridge plugin - they are big.

ALso - I think general advice is not to bother with the 64-bit pCP - stick to 32-bit unless you have a special reason to do so.

                          • LMS needs alot of diskspace when scanning and rebuilding the library. Depending on your library size, it would not be uncommon to need 4 or 5GB of free space.

Er - no, I didn't resize, and I imagine that shifting the configuration files off the microSD gave the system just enough headroom for me to end up with a stable system. My excuse is that I haven't installed from scratch for years'n'years! I've now given it the whole card, and when I'm feeling brave I'll try Bridge again. Thanks for the reminder.

As you will have seen from my other post, diskspace probably is the answer - thanks.
