FWIW: Apple's mail client would render the link, too. But it would also try to call any number longer than six digits.Michael

I just checked my android client - BlueMail and it is not hyperlinked as well.
My current work around isn't bad, I get an email, then go to "today's post" and hit the ffwd icon next to the post.

I'm on a PC at present but I will edit this post from mobile with a screenshot shortly.

It seems to me that the link formatting is not different than any other text

Maybe it requires the body to be MIME-encoded as HTML before it offers links as something that can be clicked - and/or need the full HTML experience (with proper HTML A tag.Last edited by Paul Webster; 2023-01-09, 12:57.Paul Webster

I did a bit of a search and found a comment from Mozilla support that the sender is nor properly formatting the link, and advised to view the source of the mail. Here is a clip of the mail:

Yeah, that's the line of argument I follow with their support. But I'm not too optimistic about it. It's stupid they would send as HTML when they actually don't use any formatting at all. If you set the viewing option in Thunderbird to render plain text instead of HTML, you'd get the links...Michael

I think there is an RFC about HTML email construction but I would have to look.Jim
