Yeah, don't know what's wrong with the style editing feature. But it's not too high on my todo list...

Apart from the absolutely horrible layout could you please change the incorrect link title 'New Topics' to 'New Posts' so that it reflects the intended search result?

Say what you really think gordonb3 but remember Logitech funds the hosting of this and mySB.com, continues to provide some level of support and crucially pays mherger ’s salary to do so.

This is not a bad example of a vBulletin forum. It works and that’s the main thing and as long as it does that I’d far prefer that mherger spends his time continuing to improve LMS than dick around with the forum appearance.

Now that it has been mentioned, I guess I don't understand what the difference is between new topics (posts) and todays posts? If they truly are new posts, shouldn't todays posts yield the same results? They don't. I guess today could be a subset of new, but I would expect if that was true, and the sort was the same, the first couple pages would be the same.

I am not concerned, just curious. I used to hang out in "what's new" and just want to know where to hang out now...

I think it works likes this:
"Today" are from today only ,,, and are all of the threads with recent posts in ... and you may well have already read some or all of them.
"New" are those threads with posts that are new to you (not marked as read) and could cover more than a day if you haven't been keeping up.

I think it’s more like the last 24h than a calendar day.

Thanks Paul, that would explain why they were only slightly different. The thing that was mysterious is they might contain the same threads, but in a different order, even though they were sorted the same.

But...It looks like it's been changed It's now "unread" and "recent"

I like the new labels. And this allows me to see all posts that I haven't read, which is my normal way of opening the forum. Any chance to add some sort of "mark all read" button at the bottom of the "unread" listing. I know I can exit this view, click on forums, then at the bottom of the forums list, "mark channels read" to mark all these as read. But being able to do this from the "unread" post listing would be a plus. Thanks for all the work mherger on updating the forum software.

If it is indeed gone, a work around - quote msg1, copy to clipboard, unquote msg1, quote msg2, paste msg1, rinse, repeat.

Just copy and paste the text you wish to quote, select the text and wrap quote tags round it.

good tip! but I had thought Ronnie wanted to multi-quote from different posts/authors. So you would need to capture the quote=<name/post#>. That's what I was addressing...but I'll use your tip too!
